What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

5.8 today, a rainy dreary day….and I love it! We really needed the rain…gotta keep those fires away.
Went to the gym but it was a struggle….just didn’t want to be there. Maybe it’s time for a day off.
I want to eat bad things….must resist

5.7 today fingerprick 6.1
breakfast and heading out for a swim.

blood results still missing in action from 3 days ago :( gonna try chase up today to see what went on or if lab rejected or something. bruising starting to subsibe where they drew it from :)

hpoefully open water swimming at somepoint in the next few days supposed to get HOT HOT HOT :>

Six point four currently on libre

A lower than lately level after a few drinks waiting for a couple of hours for my train home last night

Yesterday I went to see an endo who says I’m LADA and is writing to my GP

Interestingly I’d put all of my numbers ( hbac c-peptide etc ) into chat GPT and asked it to act as a doctor

The human endo is advising starting on an insulin dose slightly lower than AI .

I find that somehow assuring

Have a good day all

Morning All yesterday 8.6 and today 9 which is alarming. I can’t help feeling I am heading into unchartered territory. My only sin yesterday was a tablesp of Mr P’s Low Baked Beans with my three high meat sausages and broccoli. Anyway on we go …..
@mojo37 maybe get the bath mat before it disappears. @OrsonKartt thats an interesting turn of events. Take care all.

omg hba1c result back! 5.4% 36mmol! now for the intertesting part cgm a1c estimated 31mmo so it was fairly close again!

DSN has said 100% honeymoon period. most likely type1 they have no other explanation due to hba1c being 162 back in january. lipid results rejected no clue to why. u & e was 'ok' whatever the heck that is. she'll discuss results in more detail on 14th july. have been warned most likely will be back on insulin very suddenly at somepoint in the future. weeks/months or even possibly in very rare circumstances years.

happy that got a couple of results, not happy about the rejected lipids which will now need redone next month. is it possible as only had lipids back in may that a lab can reject as 'too soon'?

Well done to you. That will be a big relief.

Tested early this morning as away with family and a surprising 5.5, but it was at 0600. Had a small toasted wholemeal slice of bread toasted olive oil margarine which tasted like engine oil (and yes I have actually tasted engine oil in the past.) Tested BS approx 30 mins later and got a whopping 11.5.
Porridge does the same thing to me although i've not measured as high as 11.5 but certainly rise to around 9.5 an hour after eating. I was told to eat porridge when i was pre-diabetic as it was good for me so I was eating the darn stuff nearly every day. I used to love porridge - no sugar and just a bit of salt. Certainly didn't help to keep me in the pre-diabetic space.

Feel for you. I think I might be sharing that journey @Penquinmum. Different reason - At the moment I just need to look at myself in the mirror to put on weight. Too full of anxiety at the moment to keep things in check but I need to reign something in. Anyway, I decided to bite the bullet and phone the surgery to arrange my A1c. Gave me a date two weeks hence but I have that week earmarked for a holiday so she said just ring again next week to sort something. How much weight can I lose in a week I wonder.

FBG 6.4. This doesn't sound too bad but bloods not really going down during the day. Ah well, let's keep on keeping.
