What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

7.1 this morning not bad considering the 94 gr of carbs I had last night ...succumbed to homemade chicken chilli with several large tortilla's.
I bet you enjoyed it though. To me that would be worth a 7.1 (at the moment that's a distant dream number but even so, occasionally great food is worth the carbs)
5.8 today….i had a meltdown yesterday, full on cry. No carbs for two weeks, no snacking, not eating after 5….and still my blood sugar seems high….high sixes during the day. I’m so incredibly frustrated but also know that my pancreas is not all there…the tail is shrivelled and dead. Low carb will not always work….
Sadly it is not the magic bullet for everyone. You tried, really hard, did a very good job (keto/ carnivore is *hard*, even if you enjoy meat as much as I do) but it didn't sort your BGs out. That's several wins even if you didn't get the result you hoped for.
So I ate a small bit of low carb granola, a huge treat. Then for breakfast today I had three tablespoons of yogurt (very low carb) with a bit of granola. Blood sugars did increase but not awful. I mentally feel better.
I'm glad. I haven't reached burnout yet but there have been many struggles. Being less stressed should make everything else a little easier to deal with.
I HATE this….
We need a "diabetes" piñata or stress toy that we can beat the *%$# out of every now and then!
libre 5.4 off for swim :) last day of summer holidays for my area. expecting the pool to be like sardines from tomorrow as wont be able to go til after school run until september i think english schools go back
We're hoping to take advantage of the Scottish school year starting earlier than the English to make a trip over the border soon. Hope the pool isn't too crowded tomorrow.

12.1 today for me. Sadly this has become typical. Low carb hasn't fixed me either, but I'm carrying on as I enjoy eating this way and it should be sorting out my HDL cholesterol level and maybe also good for my liver.

5.7 today. Think I know why I’ve been feeling like **** lately….an episode of diverticulitis. I wasn’t having pain but was symptomatic for sure. Today getting small pains (left lower belly area) so I’m fairly confident. Went without breakfast and will eat a light lunch and just take a day off (ok, I was already at the gym and did an hour slow walk and a 15 min bike ride). So it’s a rest afternoon with some heat on the belly.
I feel worn out and certainly not my usual self.

My BG did go up to 13.5 but quite surprised that it did come down reasonably quickly but I must not be tempted to repeat ......
