What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

libre 4.8 fingerprick 5.7
off to the mainland later on swimming at a different pool than norm :) weather forecast looking promising for end of the week planning continuation of road trip was in the middle of before storm amy got in the way :)

Out of bed, dressed and seven point eight on libre

I had a medication review on the phone yesterday. It went well. I’m Now being prescribed glucose and ketone strips . I’ve been self funding these for the last 10 years so that’s something. Sadly not the libre which I have to say is brilliant.

I can see that my glucose level rises are primarily to do with activity. As I get out of bed they jump and go to nine or ten then down as I clock off for the day. I’m eating keto style so food appears to have little impact on levels

Still can't shift this cold
(not life threatening but very irritating)

I don’t know if it’s just a thing for good luck but I have taken to starting the day with vitamins. If you don’t already do it might be worth a try ?

6.6 reasonable starting point but like @OrsonKartt and others my numbers rise uncontrollably to around 9 or 10 with or without food until a slow afternoon drop before dinner. Overnight drops to 3 or 4 while I sleep. Just wished I could influence this daily trend and get lower numbers during the day and rely less on metformin.

Green tea works for my readings. Not sure if you can have green tea whilst taking meds but worth a try if you can.
