What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Not such a good day today, bloods 6.8 and its my own fault. I made some bread yesterday for my OH. I don't usually eat bread but used to Iove home made bread and thought I have been having some reasonable blood results lately, lets try it. Stupidly, I had quite a large bread bun. 1 hour later, bloods were 7.1 which seemed OK, 2 hrs later bloods were 9.5. What! I think this morning's bloods are still reeling from the effects of over indulgence. Wouldn't care I didn't really enjoy it as much as I remembered. Let's see how long it will take to get back on an even keel. :)
I love bread I still have some every day but only a little because it certainly doesn't love me :(

- let us know please. Before dx 10 years ago I’d bake almost every day. Not had a slice since but am sometimes tempted by the new slow rise sourdough’s!
My bread make was a simple white loaf. I checked bloods a couple of times during the day, once around lunchtime when bloods were 5.8 which I felt was a little high and just before supper when bloods were 5.4. It will be interesting to see what my results are 2 hrs after supper.

6.5 today, looks like my new normal is in this range.
Did weighted abs and a gentle yoga class. Purposely did not hop on a treadmill or bike on my way out of the gym as I am overtraining.
Cloudy and cold today. They keep promising sun but it stays above the fog and clouds. No snow in the near forecast, I’m happy. That can change though.
Hubby’s iodine uptake test showed his thyroid is not taking up iodine well. Test suggests inflammatory thyroiditis but doc should confirm this afternoon. This has been quite the ride!
Need to clean the house.

5.4 libre. Wee image taken on my route home. Lowish light pollution has some advantages with the night sky nice to watch nature's very own firework display. Totally clouded over shortly after took this img.

Hello mates,
At a couple of the other forums I've frequented there was a thread like this one where we all sorta checked in each day, with our first cup of coffee or tea, and reported our fasting or waking blood glucose level and some short comment about whether we're ok with it or if not - why not?...

It worked well as a sort of 'first thread to check' each morning and post to.

I'll start.

This morning was a 5.6mmol for me. That's about normal for me

What about you?
Mine was 7.6 I’m really struggling at the moment - I’m on a rake of medication plus Toujeo. I’m now on a sensor and that depresses me even more as I now see the fluctuations from 3.8 up to 17. I’ve lost weight, I was 14stone and now 12, I exercise twice a week as I had a triple bypass in 2020. I’m 68 year old female and really would like to try to keep it level, I’ve been type 2 since 1995 - any advice appreciated
