Had my dinner in a rush and forgot to inject!!!!!!!!!!!

Stupid me!!

DOne that before. ALso gotten to involved with work adn forgotten evening basal before.

Todays ****-up was a first though.

Gym before breakfast, put the porridge on, went into the bathroom, 4 units, in the ****. look down and see orange.

Oh ******, I've just injected 4 units of Novorapid instead of levemir. That's twice the dose I would have had for breakfast.

Get the levemir in, finish making the porridge and put a big dollop ofhoney on it. I htink I'll do hourly checks for the next couple of hours

I am figuring it happens to most of us - I've managed to inject the wrong insulin - the long instead of the short, just adds to the day :)

I think we have all done it at some point, the Novopen Echo comes in handy for such occasions.

Yup, the Echo is a nice pen and the 1/2 unit feature is another 'warning' to me as to which pen I'm using as my older Penfill pen has single units. I also have different colour pens

I've been using the echo for almost a year now and I would not swap back even though it needs primed every time I use it and love the 1/2's if you really work with it it can bring tighter control

I have two of those, very useful when you want to make sure you've injected what you though you had, and to check you've remembered your basal, not just thought you've remembered it.

As with keith, love the 1/2 unit capacity as well, can really tailor dosage to meal and not the other way round.

The half unit delivery is very useful indeed, it's by far the best pen I've had to date.

Hi there
I've done that twice in three months. Injecting, glucose test, and 9 prescription drugs to take and leave me over-taxed in the brain department. I try not to worry about it - this will happen, just accept it and try to do better.
