Possibly, but I would not bother personally, I'd rather have something thats not going to feel like I've had nothing 10 minutes after I've eaten it. i'll only eat a snack if I'm actually hungry, and then I want something that makes me feel like I've actually eaten.

The multi-seed Ryvita's are very nice, they've come on a long way since looking and tasting like cardboard :)

I'm type 1 but I struggle with post meal spikes after eating and I really like the dark rye ryvitas with cheese, 14g carb for 2, although I can cover carbs with insulin I find these good for no big spike.

No problem with ryvita.
Decent balance, 2 ryvita, a slice of low fat cheese between them, and a slice of ham.
Breakfast sorted, today it lasted until lunch, although most days I do factor in a piece of fruit as a mid morning snack.
No hunger, no need to force in food I don't need.

Filling in forms! ;)
I'm with Thommothebear on this one but will add, that since changing my eating pattern I do not need to snack, because quite simply I don't get hungry :)

Yes, I'm the same.
Initial restraint goes a long way, and you soon realise a lot of the eating was just habit.

Ryvita is my regular breakfast, with a bit of ham and cheese.
It's a decent enough amount, and I don't feel hungry afterwards.

2 ryvitas would be too much for me at breakfast time ,I could eat them in evening though if I needed food

I prefer very thin wafer type cracker with cottage cheese and sliced tomatoes on :hungry:

Lettuce parcels lite bites or lots of salady things lunch/tea times
Wafer thin ham , tuna , cheese , sliced boiled eggs .
Bit of fruit accompanied with couple of crackers .
Well grilled bacon and scrambled eggs .
Feta cheese , tomatoe , cucumber salad is another fave of mine !
Veg and mushroom/tomato casserole [chuck in some bacon or chicken lardons]
Home make a batch of soup [will do me n hubby lots of substantial bowls over 2-3 days]

Small portion trick is to always use a smaller plate/bowl when served on
( as LOOKS more to the eye )

No snacks - use as lite bite meals totally !
I cant deal with heavy/large meal portions
Have diverticulitis bowel condition :(

Diet only
wouldn't one cracker be ok ? as a snack

I slice is about 5 g of medium GI carb.

I have a meal with parboiled brown rice most evenings which is about 20g and later in the evening I will have 3 ryvitas with cheese and pickled onion. Since I have about 20 g for breakfast and usually none for lunch - it's mostly things like tuna salad, I don't think I am pushing the boat out with 55g per day, especially when I need about 210g.

In fact, if you ate 10 of them, nearly half a packet you'd still be eating only 50g. Just make sure you put something low carb on it and not marmelade or chocolate spread :)
