Lancet Confession

I usually only change every couple of weeks !!!!!

I can asotiate with this...
Years ago, the old school finger prickers never seemed to go deep enough for me so I used to manually push the lancet into my skin.....

I always have to put them on the max depth setting... **** calloused bass player hands!

About ten years ago I was traveling through South India. I noticed a blister on my index finger. The puss started to creep up the side of the finger to the knuckle? I bought Dettol bottled water, lanced it & treated it my self. Healed up nicely...
Incidentally. I also stopped taking the course of anti malaria tablets prescribed before flying out..
Is it me or do Mosquitos leave diabetics alone??? Lol

I try to replace daily..... Usually every 3 or 4 days though!

Mosquitos have always loved me, both pre and post diagnosis!

Must just be me then... I found the anti malaria tabs caused mouth users too.. Which cleared up when I stopped pretty much immediately..

I don't have issues with this sort of thing.. Healing & the like..

Make a point of rotating the drum with the lancets in at the start of each day.

And there was I thinking it was an article in The Lancet saying how they'd got it all wrong ...

Also change it when it starts to hurt, roughly every 2 weeks.
Use the lowest setting, and have no problems

I use 1 per day or 2 days or maybe 3 days. They're such a pain in the @rs3 to change. BTW...mosqueetoze always loved me. Thats how I caught my type 2 ;-)

I change it for every test, unless it's inconvenient. Since I started doing it, I don't get bruising on my finger tips any more.

Every other day normally. Mosquitos hate me !

I go months without changing mine, I don't see the need to change them that often.

I think that depends on how many times you test a day, I test around 7 times a day so that's 210 finger pricks over a 30 day period, by that time the lancet will well and truly be blunt.
