I am 69 and have been a diabetic for 14 years and have been managing it all by myself due to the lack of support from several doctors that I have been with throughout the years . My recent doctor has a tendency to bully , manulate and backmail me when it comes to my medication. He refused to give me my medication at one point for over 3 months. He has recently told me that I would need to see his nurse .Because of the lack of support I have received from him throughout the years I have developed a distrust for him and his staff. And believe that I will not be cared for properly, so I have refused to attend. However, I am concerned that he will stop my medications as he has done before on a few occasions . I am judicious about changing him due to the fact that so many doctors in the past has also failed me , but I am in two minds of what to do . Please advise

Have you tried making a formal compliant through the practice manager? The doctor may not realise that you feel bullied, and a resolution could be made this way

I would still attend even though you feel badly treated. Don't give the surgery an excuse to ignore you or withhold medication. All medication is reviewed on a date shown on your last prescription and the surgery won't do further prescriptions until you visit and have your meds reviewed. Yes, do complain in writing to the Practice Manager if you are unhappy about anything

Sorry to hear you're having difficulty with your doctor. Withholding medication is an extreme approach, and one that can't be condoned.
Unfortunately, although having supportive healthcare professionals around you can be invaluable, diabetes is a condition that you need to take ownership of yourself . I wonder if perhaps your doctor perceives that you are too reliant on seeking a solution in a pill rather than managing your condition through diet and exercise? Do you think their behaviour is a bizarre means of motivation?
By demonstrating that you are pro-active in your approach and by getting on top of your blood glucose levels, I can't see what issue your doctor could possibly have with your management and should be wholly supportive. If they are not, then consider voicing your concerns through an official complaint with the practice.
