"A new you in 42"

Hi all I think you are all doing a great job with the exercise and keeping motivated, today i danced around the house while i cleaned up then I did 45 mins on my bike at a fast pace. Tomorrow is food shopping day, so I will walk down town which will take me about 25 mins at a fast rate then my hubby will drive down to meet me there and from there we will mooch around the shops. So I hope you will all have a nice day tomorrow

That's the spirit Onlyababy.
Make it fun, and be innovative in thinking of ways to add in more minutes of exercise.
You have a nice day to and buy yourself a nice non-calorific treat as a reward for your efforts.

So glad to read so many funny posts! My core is coughed to the pips, tummy tuck 6 months ago, and nothing works as well as coughing and laughing..
..seeing dibetes as something to work with instead of against is brilliant...and no self pity....so great! Best time ever reading this
Went shopping today, slow, frightfully elegant walk leaning on husband lol, for 90 minutes. My waking bloosd sugar was 5.7 this morning, can't believe that after hitting 22 several days ago!
I blame this thread, you made me laugh and I lost any excuse to grizzle hehe!
I'm not reading anything else now except medical updates, there is so much hope here, and weird and wonderful fun!
Talking too much as usual, does that count as exercise?
Blame the cortisone I think?
Thanks to lovely posters, you rock!

At home with a headache today so took a quiet walk after lunch to my GPs to pick up a prescription. A nice 50 minute round trip. Day 11 done.

Well done julifriend - having a headache makes taking exercise the last thing you want to do.
Like your commitment! :)

Pipp don't over do it , hope you re feeling better now.

I don't have the energy to pee at all today let alone up a lamp post.
Just realised that I have done at least 5km (on exercise bike or walk) every day since 30th March. Getting tough but you lot keep me laughing .
Day 11 complete.

Jamrox, that is absolutely BRILLIANT!
You're a hard act to follow and a fantastic example of what you can achieve when you set your mind to something.
Long hot soak in the bath in order?

Glad you are improving dear. It's good when this happens and it's the best medicine.

I need tucking in several places...

15 minutes on exercise bike, 15 minutes dancing in the kitchen to David Bowie- doing manic arms in air waving not only good for bingo wings but eyesight too as I noticed the reason it always seems dim in our kitchen might have had something to do with the inch of dust ( we have a woodburning cooker) on the glass shades. Oh the shame. So ten minutes up and down cleaning them.

Lol! Perhaps David Bowie uses 'what would make a good song to dance away bingo wings to' as inspiration for his music! I too like to have a mad moment occasionally in the kitchen (dancing that is!) mine involves lots of jumping like some demented pogo - usually to Coldplay. The practice came in handy when I re-painted the ceiling.:D

Yay! I feel like a grown up - yesterday I went out for a cycle ride on my own for the first time since getting my road bike! I feel as though I should have a badge to sew onto my pants or something.:joyful:

Me too,
Someone admired my creamy coloured shrug the other day when I had a sleeveless top on. Didn't have the heart to tell her that was my excessive bingo wings which I wrap around me when its a bit chilly

Jamrox, that is absolutely BRILLIANT!

BRILLIANT - is that another acronym? Let's see, B must be Bonkers, IAN has to be In A Nightie ...

Enough frivolity! I am away to the pool for an intense workout, and to ponder why after another week on Newcastle diet I still weigh the same as last week.

Argh! What was I thinking? Not Together! Twisting.
Barmy Rocking Incoherent Laughing Loonies In A Nightie Twisting.

The former version would be a bit too much invading personal space.

Twisting as in Beatles Twist, or better still Chubby Checker and the fat boys doing the Twist.

Oh eck, I am not even making sense to myself now!
