"A new you in 42"

Yes, I have seen someone turn nasty on jelly....my older son when he was little.....maybe that's why I have an aversion to it! He's much worse with beer now though.

I have trouble with swollen ankles/feet in the evening, although it's not as bad as it used to be now that I've lost some wright. Last Friday I weighed myself at my mum's (her scales are very accurate) and they said one thing. My ankles were swollen. Saturday morning I went to boots and weighed myself and I was 2lbs lighter. Try it. The fluid goes if you have your feet raised so lie on the sofa and put feet up the back of it. You may find you'll do a good bit of weeing!
A warning about the Boots machine. It's very loud! MEASURING WEIGHT NOW! MEASURING BODY FAT NOW! Luckily it doesn't shout out the figures! It gives you a printout and you don't have to measure the fat, I think that's hit and miss anyway. Before it prints it displays the results on a screen. As it's the World Cup, I think tomorrow it will say:

If you don't want to know the results, look away now!

you're doing well so don't let the gremlins wear you down.

Take care :)

I elevate my feet but as soon as it gets hot I look like elephant woman. Have raised it with 4 different docs but they just shrug. @Jamrox I probably need to drink more!

Nice shiny new weighing scale arrived yesterday, one with a digital display that I could actually read easily rather than the traditional rotary dial which never keeps still. Mind you a few months ago it was hard enough to see the thing at all without leaning forward dangerously! Fortunately there is no offset between the two so I don't have to back-convert anything.

I was losing weight before we set sail on this voyage, nevertheless since 18 May I've lost another 2kg, 2.5" off my waist and 1" off my neck measurement so that's continuing progress :).

"So that's all good" (no I don't look like Hugh Bonneville)

Got to work today :( so might not get my walk in, but there's always the rower handy.

to work on the mountain bike (no choice really as i didn't have the car at home lol) I'm tired and my bum hurts but its been a good weeks cycling, it dosent feel like its getting easier but I'm finding the commuting less intrusive into the family life, my exercise is being done when i would normally be driving and not at home or work anyway, so its all good :) I'm having a few days off from it because of the knee and a special event on wednesday (a secret lol shhh) so ill no doubt be geocaching with the little one over the weekend to keep up my minutes, but my backside needs some recovery time lol I've sewn some pockets in my pants for ice packs

If the Earl of Grantham looks more slim and toned in next series of Downton we will know his secret!

Saw husband and eldest daughter off to do their tough mudder then went into town to get stuff for my holiday in 4 weeks. Bought nothing , all I could think was I should be working off calories to loose the lb. Result was I walked around for 50 minutes and burned about 170 calories in the process.
Home now and had a salad , going to potter around the house then going on my bike later.
Happy days people happy days.
