Protein shake made with alpro coconut milk, tastes delicious, much better than water. Was out though so could not test post 2, will try tomorrow.

BBQ feast for Father's Day, ribs, chicken, sausages burgers etc and a trio of melon for afters.

Leftovers from earlier

Here you go.

I don't like ginger in the base and to reduce carbs, I use chopped seeds and nuts instead of oatcakes although one is ok. My scribbles is for peanut butter flavour.

It's a good basis for all sorts of flavours.

Aubergine lasagne, broc and cauli.

Nope, not bad at all. NHS guidelines are below 7.8 at 2 hrs, I think.
My personal ideal is to be below 6.6 at 2 hrs (bloodsugar101 says that is the max a truly normal BG would reach). Of course, I rarely hit that!!!

Interestingly, your macdonalds BG is very similar to mine. I find there is a long slow curve, but that burger + half bun (the bit with the cheese and nice bits) is an ok emergency food, providing I drink water and don't touch the chips.

Useful to know, eh? For years, I thought that maccies was The 7th Circle of Hell, but in a crisis, it turns out that it doesn't even compete with Caesar Salad, if there's sugar in the mayo.

The milkshake belonged to my offspring so my life wouldn't be worth living if I'd had more!

On waking: a Brazil

Breakfast: Paleo pumpkin pancakes with cherries and cream

Lunch: boring veg soup. Not enough. Wobbly afternoon, so self medicated (repeatedly) with squares of dark choc.

Dinner: chicken shashlik, sag paneer, salad, 1/4 poppadom. Perfect.

Thanks ;), but 2 out of 3 meals were great. :) And I should have known better with the lunch.

The chocolate was, of course, an ordeal. :wideyed:

Thank you all for nice comments about my blog. Ive just started and positive feedback encourages me a lot :D There was a topic about positives of diabetes and I must add having a blog to it. Without diabetes I would have never started and continue spending time online on some stupid and aimless stuff!

Lenny, maybe you should try panna cotta. Without orange sauce it has 10g of carbs only. Im going to put chocolate mousse this weekend and it should be safer than chocolate brownie i think.
Anyone tried the desserts from the free download on diabetes uk? Ihave made raspberry sorbet and it's dlish.

Where do you get your paneer? Asda used to stock it but obviously I was the only one buying it so it vanished.
