"A new you in 42"

Hey zand, think it must be a week for feeling poorly. Take it easy and get well soon.
well that was the plan....fat chance of that though. I got a phone call from my aunt's neighbours....could I go round, her fridge is broken, but she doesn't believe it is broken. (She's 88) So I dosed myself up with as many painkillers as I could have at one time and drove the 30 miles to see her. She wanted to get me lunch and offered bread and biscuits - great. So now I am trying to find a fridge freezer online, and I am having great difficulty trying to find one the right size. Aaaarrgghh! So no exercise at all and no rest either.

hugs foir those that need hugs and well dones to those that deserve one.
23 minutes on exercise bike and then a swift half hour in Asda- no dawdling as I hate it. Might also claim extra time for the weightlifting invloved emptying a large slow cooker full of semi hot chicken stew into oven dish to bung into woodburning cooker( which I had to relight) as leccy decided to go on and off all day.

Hurrah! I tottered around the garden for 14 mins, back and forward with a small watering can to the thirsty plants.
Determined to beat the Pilates, (been struggling with the Australian DVD, because the background music drowns out the voice of the instructor) I looked on You tube. Found clip 'Pilates for seniors beginners'. Just spent 22 mins on that.
Good thing I am lying on the bed, don't think I can get up. Also, if it is Pilates for seniors why is the lass demonstrating the moves about 19, slim, and toned?
Glad I did it though. Will not be beaten.

Sounds like you have done extra time then. Well done cold ethyl.

Jamrox....well done for getting rid of Tony, I'm sorry I haven't said this before now. Thanks so much for setting up this challenge for us, it's been so good. For a while at least I am going to have to drop out. I am sorry. I seem to be fighting battles on so many fronts at the moment and the exercise one is coming way down my list of priorities at 6th or 7th for me. I need to concentrate on the top few most important ones because I am getting worn out with the effort of trying to achieve everywhere at the same time. Maybe for me this is the most important bit of the challenge, to be able to give up for a while and not beat myself up about it. I'm not happy about giving up and I'm sorry, but I cannot afford to fail in a couple of other areas. I'll still pop in to catch up with what you are all doing though

..zand you must do whatever you feel is best for you...:)

I found out very early this morning that a very good cyber friend of mine has died, of motor neurone disease ...she and I have been friends for years and it annoys me that people don't think cyber friendships are real friendships, because they are, they count just as much as my real life ones, its just that you don't meet as you live far away from each other.... back in a few days, don't feel like posting right now, I know I'm always a bit happy go lucky and probably come across as flippant but don't feel like that at the moment, she wasn't old...will post in a few days, sorry.

Take care Zand and Pollylocks, do what you have to and come back when you're good and ready. Life isn't all about diabetes although sometimes it seems so.

So sorry for your loss. I bet she really valued your friendship. Your posts have always cheered me.

40 minutes on bike. Then thought I'd try a Pilates for beginners youtube like Pipp. I must need Pilates for idiots as just timing my movements to the exhalation and inhalation was confusing enough. Did 8 minutes then ended up hyperventilating so maybe not for me.

Walked up the eleven floors of my office again, only one brief rest this time at 6. Seeing friends this evening so only exercise will be vocal and lifting a diminishing pint of Harveys Best up and down.
