Sporty Forty.e t

....still pounding the beat in the lunch hour, 50 minutes today, does that mean I only need to do 30 tomorrow....;) .....now mostly have my lunch at my desk while working as don't have time to fit it in!

...thinking of getting a bike in July, just thinking not definite yet, don't think I'd have the confidence to go out on the road but there's a lot of flat spaces around here..

Pollylocks I don't think I could have done every day if it wasn't for my exercise bike . I love it because I escape on it in my garage even when its raining.
I bought a second hand one so it wasn't to dear .

10 minutes brisk walk this morning and I've just completed another 30 minutes.

I turned on the TV when I came in :

Ch4 The World's Best Diet

Began at 9 but the presenter was talking to a French doctor and asking why, with such a high saturated fat content in their diet, is heart disease low in France. During the discussion the doctor explained that about 30 years ago people wanted less fat and added more carbs. He said a lot of carbs resulted in diabetes.

I'm going to to a dance for joy, which will be 2mins towards my 40mins today!

Yay!
Did my run this morning - only 25mins, but the day is still young!;)

Thanks Bebo! It's supposedly (this is Africa) about 2 hours drive north of Abidjan. Should have internet so I might try and post a diary of sorts, maybe even with pictures (food, people, surroundings etc). I always find going to Africa puts a lot of things in perspective. Should be fun (but hard work)!

Meanwhile today I've done a total of 30-40 minutes walking in 10 minute bits, and 20 minutes on the rower in three stints an hour after eating - this seems to be good at using up the glucose from the food without the liver having to assist.

Just been able to get a better look - so perhaps somewhere around Yamoussoukro? It looks amazing - some stunning architecture, fantastic landscape and wonderful culture. Do take photos and let us know how you get on. Do you speak French? :pompous: (Today in my head, French speaking shall mostly be wearing a moustache and monocle)

Very close - a bit NW of there just south of Kossou Lake (Angovia).

Oui je peux parler un peu de Francais, mais j'ai oublie beaucoup! Et l'accent Africain est different! S'il y a problemes, je peux dire "Drogba, Yaya, fantastique!".

So far I have had about 20 minutes cleaning parts of the pantry and freezers that no man has ventured into for years. I'm not fussy about dates on tins etc, but even I think that the curry powder that should have been used by end of 2008 is probably past its va va voom best. I also walked to the farm cottage to hand over water bill myself rather than send Mr E which is unheard of. Later it'll be on bike for a bit once bank manager has been and completed his annual review paperwork. As he is a massive music fan it is five minutes paper filling and half an hour chatting about bands.

Lol!
Shows how much I know about football - I had to look up to see who Drogba was!

ohhhhh thats nice....you started without me? :wideyed:

they paroled me  which gives me zero faith in our criminal justice system, but here i am anyway.

now i have 3 pages to read :meh:

i appreciate everyones kind letters and food packages during my brief stay at her majesties hostel, the parole board released me after i quoted Stephen Fry at them

“It's now very common to hear people say, 'I'm rather offended by that.' As if that gives them certain rights. It's actually nothing more... than a whine. 'I find that offensive.' It has no meaning; it has no purpose; it has no reason to be respected as a phrase. 'I am offended by that.' Well, so ******* what."

so assuming i don't get banned for my returning post.....

may i play please Jam lady?
