For politely pointing out that in their great advice is a piece of information that could not only be wrong but maybe dangerous.
No conversation no email contact just my post removed and me banned!
Bad form

I pointed out that T2's can and do get hypos .....

Note for diabetics
  • Avoiding the carbohydrates that raise your blood sugar decreases your need for medication to lower it. Taking the same pre-low-carb diet dose of insulin might result in hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). You need to test your blood sugar frequently when starting this diet and adapt (lower) your medication. This should ideally be done with the assistance of a knowledgeable physician. If you’re healthy or a diabetic treated either by diet alone or just with Metformin there is no risk of hypoglycemia.

Hi Jackthelad, I used to get hypos as a type 2 but only because of my meds - glicazide. Since dropping that medication I have not had hypos, just normal hunger.

I agree that the banning/deleting without comment/discussion does not seem to be in the spirit of sharing ideas!

It should read, little risk or no more risk

Whether you cut carb or not, although rare, you can hypo with missed meal/s or insufficient calories with a calorie restricted diet when taking metformin.

I have had hypos for years while on no medication, and mostly before I developed diabetes.

@JACKTHELAD I wonder if they pulled your post in a knee-jerk legal reaction. They must be incredibly restricted in what they can and cannot display for fear of giving medical advice.

That is speculation, of course. And it would have been polite to let you know their thinking.
