Who knew potassium tablets lowered my readings. They went from 6.9 to 5.5 within an hour. Will need to check another few times to make sure though

Diagnosed prediabetic Easter 2014. Just left to get on with it, no guidance or help from GP. Every day I'm learning something new.

5.5, not far off my record to date :)

One of those morning, 8.3 on the BS and my weight had increased by 0.2kg. Its not much but I hate to see it go in the wrong direction. I think it probably that time of the month, but being on the injection I hardly notice it. I know it still effects my weight slightly but not sure if it will effect the BS.

I missed lunch yesterday jerri and was busy all day.......never got to below 6 until I had eaten dinner and went to bed 5.7!! Seems missing a meal isn't good!!

Kim unfortunately sometimes I get to a stage if I eat I will only bring it back up. My appetite is so poor due to renal problems. So as long as I eat something each day I am happy. I have lost weight due to this as I never did with the lack of eating. I am hoping the weight has stopped coming off. This forum has really helped me with advice and tips and I thank everyone here for that

Bless you jerri! Hope you continue to find as much support and info here as I do, diagnosed 4 weeks ago today and for a few days felt lost, no real info or support from hcp's......then I came here and felt home!!

Flat over night as usual.

5.4 on going to bed
5.4 on getting up.

Had a heavy carb meal at 7pm that spiked me to 9.4 at 1 hour, 7.3 at 2hrs, 6.4 at 2.5hrs, 5.4 at bedtime. I knew it would spike me, but am kind of pleased that it came down again as quickly as it did. Had I only tested at 2hrs I would have been jumping for joy. Lol.

6.6 this morning. I suspect I ought to have tested at 7 when I first woke up not over 2 hrs of snoozing later, ( plus I used my little finger which always seems to read higher than the otters. )

4.1 for me today. 4.1 seems to be my "go-to" number at present, with everything returning there, which is fine.

Later today, we're off to watch some cricket; the equivalent of the ECB County Championships, although T20, not one day. It's a great day out, with the locals making England's Barmy Army look like monks. There will be great street style food around, including lobster from the BBQ (now they're back in season), so no need for three guesses for what my early evening meal will be. Sometimes, we just have to roll with the punches. :D:happy:

For the first time in a month I'm back in the 6's at 6.8. Lusting after a 5 .....

5.1 - my lowest EVER!!!!

:)

6.8 this morning. Lost another 3lb. I've not started any diet yet as I'm waiting to see the dietician so I can combine the information I have got on here with the information I get on what to avoid for my kidneys. Yet my weight is dropping on a daily basis. I am 11 st 10 lb so still a little overweight but not massively. If the weight keeps coming off the way it is in 3 month I will be under weight. I was nearly 14 stone before all this kicked off.

after having 3 days of being around the early 7's which is marvelous for me, woke up this morning at 5.30 sweating buckets and BS was 8.2. I was so hot didn't know what to have for brekkie, so had 3 cheese singles microwaved, but am now getting hungry so will have another cuppa and try and hang on till 10am to have 2 cheese strings and a 9 bar . And I've had no morning insulin which is a first.
