that drink sounds lush, how do you make it?
@Brunneria, yes we're baffled. We weren't expecting it.even the doctors won't believe it, because of his blood results, bp and sugars seemed like he was "perfect bill of health"...he's the type of grandpa who reminds us to exercise, to not eat junk...he would test me with his blood glucose meter, he is a t2 (we would both compare our tests and he'll sometimes even get a better result!) we were all shocked and we are trying to trace where he might have gotten it...as @Avocado Sevenfold said, wear and tear and age can cause it...but we also had a look at his diet..he ate eggs everyday and loved a good steak/ liked his red meat for dinner...doesn't eat a lot of grains and gets his carbs from vegetables....or it might have been genetic/wear and tear that might have been a factor. I hope that the operation goes okay and he gets well soon!
I sometimes make hot choc with a teasp of cocoa powder, 2 teasp of powdered coconut cream, and sweetener, with hot water.I mix a heaped teaspoon of green & blacks cocoa powder with a little milk from a mug full ( I sometimes use unsweetened lite soya milk other times I use lactofree or a mix of milk & water), mix with the rest of the milk, put into a pan with a heaped tsp of coconut oil and heat through. Then serve
I have it with 1 Splenda tab in it
Thanks @Brunneria, I'm searching it at the moment, saw the trailer. No that's alright, you're very helpful, good to get ideas from other people too as he was also a t2 (my uncle and several in our family have diabetes)...yes thanks, further tests revealed his markers were very high but I don't think they have done the test with the particle size...Ok, so I am not a medical professional, so I'm probably going to use all the wrong terminology (and am also probably barking up the wrong tree!) but what are his 'inflammation markers'?
Have you seen the video 'the cereal killers'. In it they make a big thing about how it isn't cholesterol levels, it's HDL cholesterol size that's the prob (it comes in big and small) and infammation levels. Apparently it's a simple blood test to find out.
The university professor says, when interviewed, that he considers it 'bordering on malpractice' to not test particle size when considering statins...
I'm a bit uncomfortable making this post, because I really don't want to give the impression I know what I'm talking about - or whether what I'm saying is in the slightest bit relevant.
I will shut up now!
The fat in the oil makes you feel full for longer. Gives you energy and stops you snacking. Thanks Badcat and Brunneria for choc drinks recipe, what is the benefit of adding coconut oil? I do love it just wondered?
Did the event go well? Hope you weren't starving after the buffet.Breakfast scrambled eggs bacon

Good to hear!Oh my! After keeping one eye on MFP for a week, I have lost 3 lbsWent over my calories a few days due to fat but not too bothered about that. Only thing I did differently as a result of MFP was upping my protein. Averaged 35g carbs a day. Very pleased with that result.

thank you!! I'll watch the movie.
