I just wanted to add my good wishes and encouragement Ally...it isn't easy..I've learned loads from the low carb thread. I got a good handle on what I should be eating. And the most important thing of all is learning to eat to my meter. Testing before and 2 hours after meals really opened my eyes...there is such support from so many people on the forum. As you are discovering..people truly wish you the best and will help every step of the way...with the added bonus of feeling so much better...so much energy and better sleep when you get your blood sugar down...I can't stress enough the importance of having a meter on hand always...when you look at your health the relatively small outlay of a meter and strips...well its so important. Even if your surgery won't give you one...good luck and keep us posted. Maybe by posting what you eat will help and the ecperienced guys on here will point out maybe where you are going wrong?
