6.2 this morning which I am happy with given I have had dinner out for the past 3 nights! And, I survived, even at chinese. When we had the peking duck, I asked for lettuce leaves instead of pancakes, I didn't eat the rice, turned my nose up at anything that looked like it might be risky and watched while others ate icecream. Last night at Japanese BBQ (2nd time in 3 days) I did not have rice, stuck to the fattier meats (delicious), but did try two small deep fried lotus chips......lotus chips are very light and have 17g of carbs per 100g, but the are very high in fibre.....they were okay and I can see if cooked in the right oil they could be moorish, but I don't think they are worth the carbs. Our friends have now gone home, so it is back to normal eating.

Plus, I have the dietician this afternoon........carb lecture here I come!

What the ???? 7.6 one hour later after eggs bacon and hollaindaise sauce ... which I have now discovered has (per 100ml) 9 grams of carbohydrates of which 7 are sugars. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

7,6 mmol one hour after a meal is an excellent count. It is actually a non diabetic level.

You really should be happy about it.

Hi everyone
I have had a real bad night last night
I was quite restless all night, I went to bed at 11ish which is mu usual time but couldn't slp. At around 1130ish I started having this weird feeling in my left leg like a tingling sensation going up an down. I thought it will get better but it dint. I was so scared I thought if I will slp I will loose my leg. Then I checked my sugar that came back at 5.4. It was 4.5 before dinner and 5.2 after 2 hours. But I checked just in case it dropped any further. Scared of all this I called 111 at around 1.30 and the lady took all details and said a doctor will call you in next two hours. I got a call at around 230 and she just said it could be neuropathy and see the gp tomorrow. She asked me if my sugar is controlled and I told her I am between 4 and 6. I had my a1c and cholesterol done yesterday so the gp will be able to tell from that too if my sugar has been erratic. My legs still have that very weird tingling feeling but I am not doing anything on my own to test the sense in my legs. I can feel hot and cold and the carpet under my legs but it's a bit different feeling under left and right legs. Will call the gp once they open and see what time I can get an appointment.

Gidday mate

It wasn't the number so much but the increase from 4.8.

I've begun to trust you so much I think I'll just accept it and call it good :)

My (American) wife sends her love for what you've done (both for me and others) and especially her admiration of you and your family. The pics of your wife and son had her swooning :)

Well the way soon after waking to stop the liver dump appears to have worked! 4.5 on waking, ate within 20 minutes (as fast as I could cook my omelette and make my lunch etc) and just tested 1 hour 20 mins later and only 5.4 or 4.9 (take your pick i retested as I didn't believe the result!)

I have also worked out why I was reading higher at work than at home - monitor inconsistency! I have a accucheck mobile at home and a horrible glucolab one at work that constantly reads higher (checked with same finger prick!) - anyway I am a happy boy this morning !

Woohoo I am loving the fact that my liver is no longer dumping on me quite so badly first thing... it just goes to show you can train an old dog :)

4.8 this morning.... and 6.7 before breakfast.

5.3 this morning. Just recovering from shingles at the moment so I haven't done much exercise recently and have noticed a slight upward trend.
