I was at 6,0 mmol on waking up but this dropped to 5,2 before breakfast following my morning 5km walk.

It felt good to be out there walking again, as my cold seems to be a lot better.

Have a great day.

Hope you get over your cold soon.

I spent a long time at the health club last night, not exercising this time but sweating away in the steam room and sauna and this seems to have done the trick.

It actually reminded me of when I was little and had a cold. My grandmother used to boil eucalyptus leaves in a pan placed on a heater in my room and let the steam & eucalyptus scented vapor fill the room.

Maybe she knew what she was doing!

@ Mike D as eucalyptus trees come from Down Under, any similar experiences or is this use just a Cyprus thing?

Thanks Pavlos i use Olbas oil drops on my pillows its got eucalyptus and loads of other natural oils in. Sometimes i put 4-5 drops and some water in my oil burner. It stinks my bedroom out but clears my nose:)

didn,t feel well during the night and tested a few times and levels varied between 17.6 amd 19.8
I am not going to put a "like" ally - keep vigilant today and watch how you go. It's a big jump from you recent mornings, do you know why?

Wonder what came first Ally the chicken or the egg. Where you feeling unwell because your levels were so high or where your levels high because you were not well?

Hope you are back to your normal self/levels soon.

4.6 again this morning. I am giving blood later today so it will be interesting to see if this makes any difference to tomorrow's reading.

Maxwell
Let me know what happens post-donation please Maxwell, I am at books donors on Tuesday for first time since diagnosis so am curious what it does to our levels! Think I will be taking my own "snack" though and not partake in their "tea and biscuits" !!

4.4 this morning - had a lie in and breakfast when I woke.

I feel great this morning and ready to put the diabetes specialist doctor thorough his paces when I go for my diabetic review this morning. Regardless of my results today, I want to say thank you to everyone for your help and support. I now feel in control of my life and this illness and going forward I will be able to make informed decisions about my Heath based on real information about what is actually right for me.

7.5 despite being really good. Must be stress.

My kids won't tidy up and think I'm their slave....

Hi Ally, please be careful your figure are high, no wonder your not feeling well. I hope your able to stay warn and safe today.

Not lax as ive only just been told...I went and bought a monitor yesterday, so only done 2 readings, well 3 now since dinner. Didnt know I had to do it so often.

The nhs is stupid. Don't know why they can't just say they can't afford to fund testing but if you can afford it, recommend you test?! It's patronising the way they insist you don't need to test the bear you up for bad blood test results!!! If you don't test, you don't know.

It's amazingly insightful. Porridge spikes me more than a cupcake!!!! They had no reaction to that nugget of info I shared!!!!

alliebee, no idea why it was so high, after my tea, i didn,t have anything else to eat
