breakfast scrambled eggs
lunch bacon and leek frittata and coleslaw from deli, soya latte
dinner Mr E has kindly shared his cold virus with me and then developed one very painful man part which is making him walk like John Wayne and feel sorry for himself, despite the attractive lady GP examining him so no one could be bothered with cooking. So he had sausage and bacon buns and I just had the sausage and bacon on a plate with a tsp piccalilli. And now I have to stoke fire, feed cats and make own hot water bottle as he has taken his sore parts to bed.

Painful man part seems a just retribution for inflicting his virus on you.
What's the prognosis?
If it is a full recovery, then make the most of the peace and quiet. ;)

Brekkie and elevenses, coffee with cream
Snacks, 3 squares 70% choc and two cheese straws
Evening, chicken, onion, baby corn, baby carrots, broccoli and green bean stir fry in masses of lemon juice and a dash of double cream - inspired by the 30 Days of Low Carb menus on the main website. Delish.

He goes back on Thursday but she thought the extra strength antibiotics should shift whatever infection he's had which is what she thinks has caused this problem as well. I know he feels rough but he's behaving like a bloke with super manflu. Lots of sighing and world weary head on chest so not much peace and quiet.

Some viruses do affect the testes. Usually one. My first thought was mumps. Often starts like that. Hope you are both better very soon

Thanks. Yes I did wonder about mumps but he had it as a child, unlike me who caught it from an unvaccinated child when I was 43 much to the French locum doctor's delight- I think he must have thought I'd been snogging teenage boys as he asked me who I'd been kissing!!!
GP seems to think he's picked up some secondary bacterial infection having been under the weather for ages - we're both having early nights - I hate this time of year as I can count on one finger the number of years one or both of us haven't been ill in the run up to Christmas.

B - bacon and sunny side eggs
L - left overs from yesterday (chicken breast, cubed - dozen brussle sprouts quartered, red pepper, 4 cubed mushrooms. Coconut and olive oil, spoon full of red curry paste. Added coconut milk, butter, garlic, and hot sauce to kick it up a notch, simmered for a bit for,the flavones to come out. )
S - salmon fillet sautéed in some butter, topped with avocado sauce ( avocado mashed with fresh garlic, lemon juice, salt and pepper, dill weed, and Greek yogurt). Along with a side of some asparagus pan fried in more butter. Yum!

It seems to have settled into same weight for almost 2 weeks now. V happy. Bgs have risen a bit but seeing a small downwards trend. I'm happy to carry on lchf as I just feel the best I ever have...I wish I had done this years ago :)
What good news for you.... I agree with you 100%... if I had done this years ago I wouldn't have numb patches on my feet now... :( When I was diagnosed with Cardiac Syndrome X 16 years ago the medical world didn't know what it was... when they found our about 8 years later I cut fat, sugar, fruit and all sorts of good stuff out of my diet... big mistake! Cut the wrong things entirely it seems... :) I do hope your trends keep going in all the right directions...

Thankyou. Yes I made that mistake a couple of years ago. The so called healthy plate. I feel for so many diagnosed people in despair being given bad advice by hcp. I was told to eat lots of starchy carbs!

B.two rashers bacon
L.Cheese salad Mayo and olives.
D.two chicken drum sticks roasted skin on ..large helping savoy cabbage with lashing of butter ...just like my dear old nan made ...
Snack ...50 mls double cream ...

I had an interesting conversation with colleagues at work yesterday ..all HCPs ....re low carbing ..only a few could grasp the concept ...although one doctor did say ..do not fear butter ...fat is good for you!

As for the concept of bulletproof coffee ...well lets just say faces and picture ....lol

Btw as part of safety checks of euipment I have to take my blood pressure almost daily since low xarbing my bp is approx 20mgms lower .It was never really high but it now sits around 110/60 lower than most of my colleagues

It's insane.... they give you sugars so they can feed you meds... it just makes no sense, does it?

Today's my 1st day of trying to reduce the dreaded carbs, after all the encouraging comments from this site.... I just dived straight into it

Breakfast .... Homemade green smoothie ... Papaya, kale, spinach, chia seeds, flaxseeds, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, lemon, mint
Lunch.... Greek yogurt, mixed berries, pumpkin & sunflower seeds,
Dinner.... Green smoothie as above plus full fat cottage seeds, sunflower & pumpkin seeds, spinach

It feels like a healthier food day :smug::happy:

It is like drinking health, isn't it?

Have you had such large quantities of them before?
If not, are you prepared for the consequences? The bathroom consequences?
