It was minus 7 degrees here last night. I took the dog a trot round the garden at 11pm. The grass was solid with frost, and the cars looked like igloos.

Blue skies, bright sunshine and 22 degrees in Cyprus today.

I'll swap you for a bit of snow to get in a more seasonal mood!

Pavlos

Whilst I was a bit miffed to see a score of almost 6, I was at the same time I was actually happy, as I just don’t see “bigger” numbers, which simply have to happen to support my HbA1c scores. I would so love to wear a CGM for a month, to really understand what goes on.

What's a CGM please?

Continuous glucose monitor- type ones are the usual candidates for them but I believe Abbott have a cheaper version on market that several type 2s on here have expressed an interest in.

Thank you. Yes, it would be an interesting thing - wonder how non-diabetics would compare (and inbetweenies like me)

2 days 5.8 this morn 5.3, happy with that me is as they keep my average down, which is running at 6.1 atm & as according to the Diabetes. UK site on the converter, as long as my average is below 7.8, which would give a hbA1c of 47.8, which is below the cut off of 48 from pre to being diabetic, my GP told me. So the more low readings I get the lower the average & I'll be in the remission zone & if the average of 6.1 is correct I'm well below 48.

That's low.......big hurdles coming up at Crimbo, well done
already planning on how to jump the hurdles and not fall flat on my face - baking experiments to start soon so on the day I can be seen to be eating more or less the "same" as everyone else - just a much lower carb version

6.5- bedtime
6.2 - fasting :D

Busy day yesterday moving some very heavy furniture which became a much bigger job than intended. A bedroom, large hall and living room have been completely changed around, including moving my desk and office furniture into a new room! I skipped a meal and consumed only 850 calories according to the warning message from MyFitnessPal

Have a good weekend everyone and keep warm
Bet you were very warm after all that exertion - I sorted my baking cupboard out yesterday - that was me done in (well once I'd made the dog biscuits too)

6.2 today. Up slightly since dropping back to two Metformin possibly, though I was and am in lot of pain with my fibromyalgia so might be that too.
Luckily my fibromyalgia usually gives me "aches" rather than pains - apart from the other night in my calves - but I do feel for you. Get frustrated with my condition too so am sure you do (all adding to the slightly higher figures BUT 6.2 isn't at all bad :)

Morning Pavlos, My metformin has not changed, but simular happened to me yesterday.

Was in my BS readings yesterday.

4.6 Pre Dinner 2Bacon, 2Eggs, 2Tomatoes, Handful of mushrooms, 1/2 slice fried Burgen, 3/4 slice of buttered burgen toast
4.7 1hr Badminton
5.1 2hr Badminton
6.0 3.5hr Just arrived at Pub

This surprised me because normally when I do exactly the same each week but the food would be different I would normally be in the 6s at the hour or early 7s.

Neil
The food sounds good but I'll pass on the badminton :playful:- good on you for getting your exercise though :)

Thank you! Couldn't find my Arnica cream so have lashed Aloe Vera on it last night and again several times this morning. Will get my GP to take a look at it on Tues when I go for my results.
Hope the bruising is going down now. Aloe Vera is pretty much on of those "cure all's" isn't it so hopefully that will have helped too.

I have had a good few years pain wise but this has been creeping up on me since last autumn.. used to be my legs that were worse but now it's my arms and chest/back.. I get fed up with myself as I always have some ache or pain and feel about 90 not 48 some days. Still there are worse things. xx

5.7 before dinner
5.7 after
5.2 fasting

Had a terrible day yesterday as had carbs in lunch with a piece of cake but couldnt do a 2 hour reading then had more white carbs in dinner but it did not shoot me up. Have been very naughty yesterday so will try to be very nice to myself for mext whole week or atleast till christmas.
We all have "very naughty days" now and again. Just lately I keep thinking - I'll have such and such "with mashed spuds" then have to rethink myself ... sure my brain is on out of date autopilot :***::confused:

That's so true - I'd certainly not trade places with anyone however "fit & healthy" they may seem
