What have you eaten today?

Breakfast turkey bacon mushrooms egg
Lunch ham broth with ham
Dinner sausages, bacon, mushrooms, tomato and 4 wedges
Snack cheese and ham.
The entire contents of 200 mince pies may also have passed into me via osmosis as spent evening doling them out at an advent festival of songs and words.
 
Re resistant starches... Are we talking double/triple-cooked chips here? *hopeful face*

Yup, presumably frozen chips, then double fried...
But I've bee n thinking, there was plenty of veg, a lot of steak, and I did only eat half the chips. That meal is going to digest slowwwwllllleeeeyyyyy.
So I don't want to encourage people's think they get a free pass with huge amounts of chips!

The only cautious, sensible, reasonable (yawn) thing to do, it to start with small portions and test, test, test.

My food today: B: 2 boiled eggs, bit of Edam. L: veg frittata with salad and goats cheese. D: barbecued pork chop with veg (small piece of corn on the cob, brocoli, onion, chilli, aubergine, red pepper). Snack: bit of chilli chocolate (11g carbs. I don't make a habit of chocolate at all - haven't had any for months - but the MIL gave it to me so I've gradually eaten it but it's gone now, no more). Weight loss continues: now lost 16lb so leapt over the 1 stone barrier. V happy with how things are going.
 
B eggs and mushrooms on spinach bed....lovely. if someone had told me last year id be eating spinach for breakfast I would have laughed
Lunch a foil parcel of cod lemon seasoning and a chunk of chilli frozen butter with salad
Dinner planned for tonight lamb steaks cauli mash buttered greens

So, obviously, someone had to snaffle that last large portion of cassoulet that I made in the spring, just before I realised quite how badly beans affect me.

Home alone and unsupervised, I chortled with glee and lovingly reheated it in the pan, added black pepper and a dash of Worcestershire and...

Duck legs, good quality sausages, pork stock, the traditional flageolet beans, and some orange juice and zest (inspired by the hairy bikers). It was a generous portion, but... but... the word disproportionate springs to mind! Can 1/3 tin beans and maybe 50mls of OJ do this?

B - tomato & olive salad with 1oz of german smoked cheese and A teaspoon of olive oil
L - cream of parsnip soup with tomatoes stuffed with pastrami
D - 98% pork sausages, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoe, egg and half a slice of fried bread
S - berries and cream with 6 hasel nuts chopped up on top

Well, she's nominally Mr B's too, but just because we pay lip service to that idea, doesn't mean that it has any foundation in reality.
