I spoke to them last week and they said they'd send me a new sensor along with the packaging to return my bad sensor.I have called so many timesLast lady was very honest and said they never expected so many issues and some people just constantly claim replacements and haven't purchased any so now they're testing faulty sensors before sending the replacement.... I thought if there was that much of a problem/backlog then it would be affecting others here too

This is also my second and I've spent, I guess £440 so far. They didn't ask if I had returned any before. This is the second replacement I have requested (previous one was sent with return packaging) when I called they asked if it was first replacement request, when I said it was the second they said they needed it back first, which I did straight away and tracked the parcel so I know they received it.
I understand some people may be trying it a bit but they can see from my account I am a continuous user who has already spent over £500 with them!

Guess I was unlucky with the person who took my call then ... Although everyone on the follow up calls has said they can't send replacement until they have internal confirmation the bad sensor has been tested. This is also my second and I've spent, I guess £440 so far. Interestingly, I got a letter dated 31 Dec saying they'd not received my first bad sensor which I sent them on Dec 8th. I wonder if there's a backlog somewhere.
(I am on sensor no 7) sensor 2 came off after 2 days.. I got home from the gym and it literally hung off my arm - think the sweat affected the sticky. Its hardly a vote of confidence that so many people are experiencing problems with the sensors
Why are they failing?
I have had 2 sensors out of 6 that have been erratic. Sometimes reading close to BGs but other times up to 2 mmol/l high - not good when a bit hypo. Its hardly a vote of confidence that so many people are experiencing problems with the sensors

Sensor 4 came off after 3 days.. I was getting changed so think my top must of caught it

Yes I wouldn't want to antagonise them too muchGuess I was unlucky with the person who took my call then ... Although everyone on the follow up calls has said they can't send replacement until they have internal confirmation the bad sensor has been tested.
I do currently have enough spare sensors but that is completely not the point. It makes me so angry!!! I worry about arguing too much with them incase they block my account! I am hooked

There are also some folks with bad skin reactions, some get dead sensors after a couple days, some with bad readers. It's a bit of a lottery although Abbott appear to be trying to replace bad stuff. Thanks daniT, so it's mainly just adhesive problems, hope they get it sorted soon.

The other 4 sensors were good and I was happy to not fingerstick except for a random check every other day or so.
Yes mine were ... Although I haven't done any detailed checks - I was happy to get away from finger pricks and use the libre for the trend data so can't say whether they've all been 100% accurate but good enough for meThanks daniT, so it's mainly just adhesive problems, hope they get it sorted soon.
@noblehead we did a bit of a poll on Facebook a while ago and it was coming out at about a 20-25% failure rate. Not a scientific poll at all but I was surprised how many people have had duffs. I myself have had 2 faulty ones
I think it's probably why you can't currently buy itThank you, it may not be scientific but 20-25% is quite high, hope Abbott are taking on board the feedback from you guys with a view to changing things and improving the product.
