I've heard of some mention about low carb flu, but not the trots. Mayb you are sensitive to some other foods you have introduced to your diet? New meds? Increased dosage? Mayb you could start a new thread on the LCHF part of the forum?

Nuts can do this to me - and I do tend to eat more now...

B: crustless quiche with sunken veggies, coffeencream
L: tinned salmon and mayo, 9bar
D: pulled pork, spiced red cabbage and a slice of the latest stracciatella cake. Lemon this time. Think lemoncurd cake. Delicious, even though I completely forgot the baking powder, so it has the texture of a brick. And I got it out of the tin in one piece, this time, so I really deserve another slice, don't i? ;)

Should be good for breakfast too

Spiders, control freaks, untidiness, ignorance.
B: Green tea with lemon. Coffee with butter whisked in (coconut oil still hasn't arrived. Greek yoghurt with ground flaxseed.
L: Leftover veggies from last night, topped with the minced beef in sauce part of a ready meal and some crumbled feta.
T: Spiced salmon with creamy vegetable curry, topped with flaked almonds and chopped coriander.
S: A few cashews, feta pieces.
D: 1 tea with semi skim milk, water

Before bed/supper: 85% dark choc bar from sainsburys, melted in warm cream.

Fasting was 5 today (but I did forget to test straight away). Busy day on the go so have not tested through day.

Ooops, I almost forgot to confess - I had a nosey in Hotel Chocolat today as I've never been in. There was a plate of salted caramel filled mini chocolates to try, so I had one, probably shouldn't have as it was on an empty stomach before lunch :eek:However nobody saw me so I don't think it counts. On reflection, I realised I could have popped it in my pocket and saved it as a treat after my lunch - must do better next time! :banghead:
Whilst in there, I also purchased a one off valentines treat for myself and Mr TP, a bar of 85% chocolate (not bad on the carbs/sugar front). They also do 100% chocolate too. Gosh it's expensive in there though :inpain:

Unfortunately I cannot have much at breakfast, a few dessert spoonfuls and even then I probably shouldn't as I am at my worst insulin resistant in the morning, it is still lactose after all. At other times though I try to limit it to what equates to under 5g net carbs, I like a spoonful just before bed, it helps me sleep better :D

I bought a new one today, it's very low in carbs (3.6 per 100g) and low in fat too. Perfect combo as I like low carb and Mr TP likes low fat. It's called Liberte'

I find yog for brekkie spikes me something rotten.

I have zero carb tolerance til my DP subsides. So I just have protein (with maybe a few token veggies) for breakfast.

It is yummy, and I think I eat too much too, and also suspect this is what is stalling my weight loss :-( I use Fage Greek yoghurt which comes in 500mg tubs, and I usually eat half a tub a go.

I tried the berries and yogurt combo for breakfast. It spiked me higher than a full English with a huge dollop of piccalilli.
