ally1,s BS levels

@AndBreathe , i feel worse then yesterday
i had 4 rashers of bacon and a fried egg for lunch
I expect you're utterly exhausted.

If it doesn't pick up after a few days, and if you're not sleeping, perhaps see your doc for a bit of help for a few days. It's a hard, hard time for you.

thank you all
the funeral has taken it out of me and mum has finally hit her so keeping an eye on her

@ally1

I feel for your mum. I didn't want to mention but you sort of mentioned her.

When our nephew did the same as your brother the impact on his mum was more than everybody else put together to be honest. The impact was heightened at the coroners inquest and she has never been able to really move on from asking "why didn't he talk to me, why did he do it, what must he felt?"....

Mums I think find it all especially tough. Hold her near and dear to you as it hard for everyone but, mum's (and dads) I think struggle more.

Well, Ally, try to be a bit kind to yourself over the coming days. Try to stick with lower carbing if you possibly can, because I think to start on lots of comfort eating biscuits, cakes and the like would just add to the feeling rough.

I do so feel for you. I hope you have someone close who can give you loads of hugs. The heeling power of a big cuddle is just amazing. (Best not try it with a random person in Morrisons, mind. ;))

Just what you need right now!!!!

Oh well, it could be a valuable distraction and give you a great reason to be really grumpy. Being grumpy from time to time does us all the power of good. ;)

Ally, on another thread you said you get 50 strips on prescription for your Accu Chek and then buy your own Codefree ones as well.
Is that right?
Are you using both meters or keeping one as a spare for emergencies?
I ask because using 2 different meters can skew your trends. The Accu Chek tends to read quite low compared with the Codefree. No doubt both are within the allowed parameters, but if you want to keep an eye on your levels and trends, it may be best to stick to using just one of them.
Just a thought.
