Gosh... I've been surviving on nuts, babybels, dark choc, coffee and a few extra bits over the last few days... awful, awful diet. I promise I will be back on track soon.

At least BG's within reason in the mid 5's although a bit raised over normal.

B - Greek yoghurt, berries, flaked almonds and flaxseed and coffee with cream and coconut oil. BS+2 = 5.4
L - avocado with small piece Emmanthal cheese, pinenuts and tomatoes. BS+2 = 5.5.
D - poached smoked haddock with grilled tomatoes and mushrooms. More berries with teaspoon of clotted cream. BS+2 =6.5

Mid morning snack - 2 x cold sausages

Thanks for the tip. In the back of my mind I do think I've heard of them sometime but no idea where I would find one. I didn't even think About making buns today at all but everything's been aching today so I just did some mending, not much cooking

Breakfast: Butter with toast
lunch: half pkt of blue cheese & broccoli risotto with extra added broccoli and feta cheese - 6.6 post 2hrs
Tea: been hungry today so along with my large lightly battered fish and peas I had some chips. 7.7 post 2.5hrs so was obvs a bit high at 2hrs

Need to aim for lower carbs tomo....
Sorry you are hurting all over... better today with luck...

I forgot to test my bg before / after but as was gluten free thought I would try
Ahhh... low-carbing to control blood sugar, so cannot have cereals.... If you low-carb you are almost sure to be gluten-free though... and your numbers drop, but if you're on meds it may drop too far... such a complicated life with D... :) Lots of the guys on here have slowly reduced their meds... they've been doing all this good stuff a long time and can answer most of your questions or worries on a general level... and they're so supportive... :)

B: 2 boiled eggs, coffee with cream
L: At the cricket, almonds and 4 squares 90% Lindt.
D: at the cricket, a meatball, some
Lamb koftas and 4 calamari rings
late night food: BK double cheeseburger without bun, about 20 fries.
Sounds like the perfect day to me... :)

Forgot to answer this yesterday. M&S porridge sachets, presumably for kids. Berry flavoured tho hard to tell what as they came without box. Turns pink when milk added. Had the second today but added some coconut flour(?) Yummy and NO spike tho didn't rise much yesterday. All gone.now...
Wow, no spike - that's cool... I hope your aches and pains are a bit more tolerable today...

Yesterday I had avocado and goat's cheese
Lunch out - large cheese and tomato omelette and salad
Slice ham, egg mayonnaise with anchovies
Remains of my amazing chicken and chorizo invention from the night before... :)
Bullet Proof hot chocolate with a tsp of peanut butter with chia seed...

Using bits from the fridge... I crisped a couple of chicken thigh skins in hemp oil, removed, softened shallots and garlic in fat, added chopped chestnut mushrooms, peeled three little chorizo links and threw in, added organic chicken stock - M&S in a jar, very like miso paste - simmered gently for half and hour, removed bits and reduced sauce til thickened...steamed cauliflower and sliced green beans.... replace bits and enjoyed.. toasted flax muffin to pick up the last of the sauce in my bowl... lush... :)

Much improved today. Niggle here, niggle there but much better thanks :)
Think the no spike was due to the added ton of coconut ;)

It's the first time in a month and a half... that I really fancy getting off the wagon... have a pizza, potato wedges and chicken nuggets... I feel sooo rough and ill and that all I can think of is comfort food... :grumpy:
