How much alcohol do people drink per week

Beer and Guinness has gone from 14-18 cans a week to 0, I drink red wine now, 3-4 glasses a week.

It's rare I drink alcohol, only a snowball or the odd Baileys at Christmas and then I still have to have Insulin for it:stop: . But no, I could say on a regular basis I do not drink, don't like the taste tbh.:yuck:

Probably 6-8 glasses of red wine a week, an occasional malt whisky or G&T, and very occasional (because it's 'liquid bread') pint of real ale.

Love red wine, but mickey mouse amounts are not for me, so that I dont drink at all.

Don't drink. Didn't before diagnosis bar the occasional lager shandy with a curry or a small vodka lime and soda once a year.

Red win e - probably more then I should! But being an a pump I can manage a night out better. A glass of wine is also good for the heart - right?!

One glass of cabernet sauvignon or malbec a day, and my happiness is complete. I still treasure the moment when I was told it was OK for diabetics to drink red wine, and that it would actually bring down BGs.

aahh........... red wine - truly a drink of the godz :D

i manage to help drain the EU wine lake by about 2-3 bottles per week

I occasionally have a small glass of red wine with my evening meal. I used to have one every evening buy now only occasionally. Don't really drink any other alcohol, didn't before I knew I was diaberic.

I don't ever drink. Didn't ever like it particularly.

The ones I enjoy are scrumpy, tawny port, good brandy or Cointreau on ice.
But they all make me feel horrible - sweaty, scritchy and fidgety. And I sleep terribly.
So I just don't bother.

I used to have a Gin and slimline tonic at 6pm while cooking the evening meal, but now I have a glass or two of red wine ,because I dont want to lose any more weight.

Never really drank much before diagnosis so after I was diagnosed I just decided to give it up completely

Lost interest in the stuff.
Probably drink a hundred quids worth a year.
