There doesn't seem to be an "OFFICIAL" fasting figure anywhere that I can find. Think most of us work to pre-pandial numbers for fasting levels.....I thought 5.5 was the upper limit for fasting?

No worries and thanks. Tried looking again a few months ago and still only found that pre and post prandial table ....Buried somewhere in the 'living with diabetes' section of the DUK site it says normal non-diabetic fasting levels are between 3.9 and 5.5. I can't link it because I'm on my IPad and it's a pain.
Hope you feel better soon JackWhy be unhappy in the fives I don't get it?
You're diabetic ....
Just taken wife to the docs and I nearly passed out.
Very light headed breathing a bit tight feel very faint.
Ended up with the doc checking me over and giving me anti biotics for a chest infection and sending me home to bed.
No way could I drive back.
Just got in and bloods are 3.4 .... anything below 4 is difficult for me .... light headed etc.
Why I'm so low I know not.
Had porridge for breakfast with sugar on!
I'm off to bed after this cuppa and egg on toast.
True. I also like the idea of 'dancing on the sand'. I like being called a Sandancer, it's rather romanticThank you PD...I reckon it's the 'Sans Danger' label myself... makes a lot of sense as we often bandjax and strangle the bits the French left behind here..... and so much more exciting than being named after a music-hall act...![]()
