Hello, I'm Miilanna, 54 years old and female. I live in the USA. I am DEFINITELY NOT wealthy, not even close (my medical bills take up most of the take-home pay). I'm autistic and a physical therapist/manual therapist, but not working for a number of reasons.
Although I was diagnosed as Type II Aug 2014, no tests were run, and I suspect very strongly that I am actually LADA, or at least Type 1 because all my symptoms started when I had a severe pancreatitis a couple of years ago. It takes weeks for any rise in BG to lower again, even though I am on a very strict diet, and I don't seem to have any insulin response at all.

I am in a number of forums, but enjoy getting all the help I can. So, HELLO <3

Hello Ruth, I am so sorry to hear about your husband.
I have heard that statins are very dangerous drugs for diabetics to take. You might prefer to use the low carbohydrate, high fat diet that Dr. Bernstein wrote about. It's the ONLY diet I have found that is really effective for both normalizing glucose levels and for improving cholesterol levels. And it's easy to use and maintain too.

I also love the LORD Jesus, and enjoy crafts,(knitting, crochet, tatting, etc) and music (both singing and instrumental), so we seem to have much in common. Welcome both of us to the forum

I just took it in my stride, kinda glad it happened then rather than in my teens, I have never really known any different? My parents were fab, uncle is also type 1 so had good support x

Yeah absolutely a total shocker when diagnosed, felt my life was over. Constantly hearing all the negative side to diabetes was and still is so scary. Was diagnosed a month before my 40th and my vision went blurry for a few weeks so had to cancel the "surprise" party my partner had arranged for me. Even now still get very frustrated with people's ignorance of diabetes and comments like "oh you can die of that can't you" thanks is all I can say haha. Really nice to hear from you, do have so much more to speak about but have to take my youngest daughter to a DVD and duvet night back at school.

I tell you my story

I diagnosed my diabetes very late on 15th Jan 2015 when i feel very tired
not even position to walk 100 meter. I went to doctor with my blood report
as follows
Bg fasting 200 after meal 265
HbA1c 10.4% Doctor tell me to take Insulin I refused then he given 3 tablet
daily.
Then I read your article & i challenge to fight against diabetes I am also
national player in Table Tennis during school
I left alcohol I also tested Vitamin D3 which was 12 only, TG 229 &
Cholestrol 224
Then I started strictly following your article but more vigorous
1 Hour Brisk Walking every day in hard sunlight after meal, 1 hour
intensive in GYM along with my 3 tablet. then just after 10 days again I
measured my HbA1c it come down to 8.7% I also took Vitamin D3 Sachet weekly
60000 IU along with 10 Mg cholestrol tablet with 1000 IU vitamun D, also I
take daily Vitamin c & Vitamin B tablet. I was surprised with result
reducing 1.4% in just 10 days.
Then my internal calculation to further decrease my HbA1c to 5.3% in next
20 days. I continuous my working finally after 30 days i.e on 15th Feb I
again Tested as follows
HbA1c 5.1% Bg 96 fasting & 103 after meal TG 83 & Cholestrol 113
