Welcome .... and ask questions :)

Mike
I have too many to ask...just trying to read stuff on here and get my head round things Mike. Ive been trying to eat right but my levels just go up ...My biggest problem is ACTUALLY eating regularly. ...I'm a big meal skipper.

5.4, no ibuprofen, no bedtime snack slept a bit better..... Probs on its way up now cos starving hungry waiting for friend to confirm breakfast out..... Rumble rumble ;)

Good Morning all,

Welcome Leese.

7.2 this morning! My very first time out of the 8's ....

10.2... Newbie ( Diagnosed Monday!)...trying to read up on type 2 Stuff...:(
Morning, not too shabby for a newbie :). Read all you can on the main site but then back to the threads where its theory being put into practice. We've all been newbies so know what its like. Any questions ask away.. and remember its NEVER a stupid question if you don't know the answer......

Fasting today 5.6
Was 5.4 when I got home from work at 8.30pm, had topsy Turvey day with meals, after my trial hot cross bun breakfast I had my bacon and mushrooms for lunch pre- work then supper of cold sausage and cheese with my hot chocolate and was 6.2 after that and had a couple squares of 70% dark with raspberry so all in all not too bad!

Morning all

5.3 this morning. Hoping my new reading glasses arrive in the post today. I am so rock n roll!

That in itself can be a BIG problem...... Little and often can be far better for steady bs levels than feast or famine. But don't worry, you will get there. Takes a while to retrain old habits ;)

You're doing a great juggling job with all the varied hours at work and strange mealtimes :)

as a newbie where is the best place on here to ask random questions...like I want porridge for breakfast, can I use something to sweeten it & what's best..I have sugar...honey or golden syrup..at the moment I do not have any powdered sweetener x

Two cans of Bud last night with a couple of Polish sausages dipped in mayo mixed with Chipotle marinade and I get ....

4.9 this morning.

6.6 this am quite a difference to the last few days but I rather think its down to the fact that there is a bigger gap between my last meal and testing this morning

5.7 @ 6.35 this morning, :) (May be the 30mins on the tredmill yesterday afternoon or the lump of cheese before bed.)

It is normally around 6.2.
Hi what does the lump of cheese do ..stop a liver dump ? did read somewhere to try a piece of cheese and some cider vinegar before bed

mmmm all this talk of food is making me hungry

Back from Thailand yesterday mid-morning after 32 hours of traveling and 1of 3 flights that took over 14 hours from Singapore! Tested myself in the middle of the afternoon (remember I forgot to bring my meter with me!) and it was 6.3. This morning 5.8 and two hours after breakfast (sausage, bacon, eggs and mushrooms p;us half a guava brought back with me) and... 8.0). Not sure if that's OK or bad really all things considered. I trued my best to avoid carbs while away but Thai cooking probably has a lot of sugar in it. But avoided most noodles and rice and had no sweet drinks or ice cream, etc. I did have some of the local fresh fruit though (not quite ripe mangoes and guavas mainly, but not bananas). I did snack a lot on peanuts. I have put on about 4lbs in the 10 days I have been away and am hoping some of that is water, but I did manage to do about 2 miles of walking most days I was in Thailand. It's good to be back!
