2014/15 Football Season

It will be when the pass forward occurs, if he is offside. The deflection isn't deliberate.
As it stands now, if a pass from an opponent is intercepted, even if he is offside, he's not!
I hope that clears that up!:confused:;)

Preston in play off finals methinks!

lol sometimes it's quite useful using the excuse that I don't understand because I'm a woman. :)

Think as it a test, I have had to explain it to kids in training for a very long time.

I love when a kid gets caught offside and shakes his head in disbelief and has a go at the ref even though you know the lad hasn't got a clue himself.

City winning, looks likely the rs are following Burnley into the championship.

Preston have won and are at Wembley for the play off finals. Who joins em will be discovered tomorrow night.I hope its Sheff Utd though i think Preston will be the ones coming to join us in the Championship

Oh dear what a way to go QPR are getting a hammering its 5-0 with 16 mins to go so time for Man City to get some more.

I'm trying to feel sad for them, but I've never been a great fan of the R's. Still - it's a bummer for the fans, whichever team they support, and my heart goes out to all those whose clubs are going down.

Hope Citeh get it out of their system today - we're playing them at the Etihad, last game of the season

I have been to Loftus Road, three or four times, and I do have a small soft spot for them until 'arry went there.
They didn't learn their lesson about spending too much trying to stay in the premiership.
But they do have a legend in Clint Hill!
Would love to see him back at Prenton Park!
Who's going to join them, that's the puzzler!

Sorry John, don't want the blades to come up. Never did like them, rather if any I would prefer Wednesday as a club. I would like to see Preston come up.

City have a task to try and finish 2nd place they wont give up trying to win

Yeah Preston look the strongest of the 3 left in it

I fear you're right. What worries me even more is that I think the Saints are coasting. I don't know why they've taken their foot off the throttle but it's almost like they've given up - though losing Fraser Forster didn't help :(

Obviously they're not going to go down, but I agreed with Gary Lineker last night, when he asked Ronnie K if his team really wanted to play in Europe next season .....

Hey ho; to repeat myself: who'd have thought that I'd be complaining, at the beginning of the season, that Saints had a couple of games to go and were only 7th :)

Yes; that's why I'm not wild about them as well. The name "Harry Redknapp" is not one that provokes spontaneous outbreaks of joy at St Mary's :D

He is definitely the 'del boy' of football!
Plus he has form: He came to Saints from Pompey (we hate Pompey :)) got us relegated, then defected back to Pompey. Not exactly Mr Popularity in Southampton :).

Mind you, he then spent a fortune at Pompey in order to win the FA cup, which he did. Unfortunately that was a contributory factor in them going bust and ending up in Division 2, so I'm not sure how hallowed a name he is at Fratton Park, either.....

England u17s v Netherlands u17s on eurosport now!

I believe he's still popular with a lot of fans and some would want him to be England manager!
Not me!

From the age of eight my youngest son played footy....at home, at school, for the local team, (and volunteered his Mum to wash the kit) every time man City were at home he was at Main Road. We have stood on pitches frozen, wet, up to our wellies in sludge watching his team play. When he was a teen he had a black t shirt with skull & crossbones on it, he kept it for when City lost then wore it all next day, :bigtears:needless to say it was very scruffy from all the wear. His dad and me could never grasp it, 22 men chasing an air ball around a pitch and getting paid a fortune. Credit to my lad, he still supports them, he's now 40

Yes those were the days! I don't get the chance to watch my sons play often now, but when I can it's wonderful. I do prefer it when it's not raining and muddy though. :)
