Hola phil

Is that 17 km or 17,000 steps? Either way very impressive. Come and join us on our virtual run walk - Land's End to John o'groats in the exercise forum. I stopped off in our pub break in Bath last week a bit too long but hoping to add a fair few miles this week.
17 kilometres (21,000 steps) :)

You inspired me :) Just got back in from an 11,000 step walk (480 calories avoiding to the app). Took 3 hours though, in and out of shops for part of the time. The app also informed me I have passed 300,000 steps since I started using it.

Good tasting coffee was something I feared I might have to give up because I need all but the best (which is usually the most expensive) to be sweetened but thankfully sucralose does an excellent job and I enjoy a couple of home-ground espressos (well, Americanos as I use more water) and I just use Sainsburys or Aldi own-brand cheap espresso coffee beans with my ageing Krups Vivo F880 espresso machine. I use a rather excellent ceramic burr Porlex hand grinder from Japan.
I must be in a minority if two...sucralose upsets my daughter's stomach and I get a horrible aftertaste.....but most people seem to like it......

Come and put your miles in the lands end john o groats thread in the exercise forum. We've got about 600 miles to go.

:) the one time i did try to blend some butter & coconut oil with my coffee, i failed to close the lid properly and most of it ended up on my face and the floor...took it as a sign...not much beats a mug of french pressed black Yirgacheffe..except maybe a second mug of french pressed black Yirgacheffe..

Have you tried the Luwak coffee? I hear it tastes like woolabrawonga! ;)

out of habit, i never sweeten my coffee anymore..probably in the last 10 years or so..used to have the horrendous pleasure of using a ton of condensed milk in my coffee before that...:shy:

Have tried it several times in Jakarta. Highly commercialised these days Nom, so it was rubbish. The best luwak I had was in Bali on the plantation itself. It was good but not spectacular. My taste buds prefer South American & African varietals to be honest. Plus, it was sad watching caged civets on the premises. Probably won't be doing that again.

6.4 this morning. fingers crossed I hit 6 by the weekend. :)

Yep cashews are pretty dire. I think it has something to do with it not being a true nut!?

Lowest I've found are chilli nuts from aldi but as they are so much lower (carb wise) than any other peanut think the nutritional values are wrong. Sorry haven't got a pack to check at the mo.

Nuts are a gateway drug for me...:)

7.5 down from 8.9 last night. First day of being back on the lchf wagon starts today. Fridge is restocked and working from home today. Fingers crossed.
