Can't answer your question as I'm on the waiting list myself. Would you mind me asking when you registered though? I signed up back in April and it would be nice to know roughly how many months (years!?) wait I have left!

I think definately yes !! I am on the waiting list too and think it's a brilliant tool - we are lucky to have access to such a device (as and when it becomes available that is !!)

It helped me safely drop my hba1c from 7% to 5.8%. For that alone I'd say yes.

Worth its weight in gold. The sensors last a fortnight.

If I remember do the DVLA still not recognise it as a tester before driving

So you still have to carry another meter with you for driving
Not sure if I like that carry enough as it is with pump supplies

How long had you been on the waiting list if you don't mind me asking?

I was offered the chance of one earlier in the year after a 3 month wait but declined the offer, since starting on a pump I've reconsidered and have been back on the waiting list for 3 months.......hence why I'm asking.

This is their normal practice. Jump at it when you have the chance. Once you're on the 'accepted' list you can re-order to your hearts content, - well no more than once a fortnight..........................

I only waited for about 4 months.

Think their factory must be working overtime, I've just got my email as well....

I think I'm going to order the starter pack and then see how I get on in that first month, it will be worth having the device because I think you can always not buy the patches for a while and then if you start having issues with control buy some more to see what's going on, you don't have to keep buying them at a particular rate, I think I'm right in saying that?

If and when I get mine I'll just be using it for basal testing and generally fine tuning things, don't have any intentions of wearing a sensor all the time.

No you don't, the reader is also a blood test meter, using the Optium blood test strips.

You're correct. You are not under any obligation to keep buying the sensors.
