Why have you only seen doctor twice - your choice or theirs ? I saw only my doctor for few years, only got passed to specialist nurse when I started having trouble with control on my own. If you are worried you really should talk to your GP and they should explain what will happen.

Unfortunately that doesn't always mean you will get the injections, Where I live my surgery is the only one in the town which will prescribe it, you will probably have more luck at the hospital. Hope you get it anyway - let us know.

This is expensive and you may not get it right away but if you do it certainly should help. You will probably get initial side effects but I found they went away quickly. I cannot have Byetta at moment as going through some tests for other problem but asap I will be back on it. Good luck.

Since I have started with Byetta I have noticed a decline in the number of posts about it - is this because it is now very common or uncommon - does anyone else have any concerns or questions - as it is such a difficult thing for some people to obtain I am surprised there is not more interest...

I suppose it depends on your area but I can get mine the same day, hospital computer linked to GP and they can access results immediately. However I find I have to ask for them because unless they are really bad they think it's fun to make you wait. Don't be afraid to ask.

I would just say to you that things are now being looked into and if there is a problem it can be dealt with, if you are diabetic it's not the end of the world and you will get loads of help. I hope you can relax a bit and wait and see - we've all been there. Your blood sugar seems high to me...

has anyone else had a problem with large bubbles in their Byetta pen. My last one had very large bubble and new one had bubble appear after only one day. These are not small but are large enough that it is difficult to inject and keep them away from needle. Hope this makes sense.
