Hi All, can anyone recommend a decent firm who can offer sick pay cover?
I'm on a pump and well controlled by don't received anything more the SSP so looking into options.
thanks
mine is loose and follows me around the bed. You soon get used to grabbing it when you roll over. Never pulled out a set yet.
you can get waist pockets that it slots into if you want to try that. Its a band with a pocket.
there must be many threads on this. Try a search in the first instance.
I'm on Tandem CIQ and currently fund my own G6 sensors @£159 a month!!!! I have near perfect control and never had this with any other pump - not all pumps are closed loop (connected to a sensor). I was previously on...
Hi all, sorry to drag this post up. Just had a double shot of cortisone - one in each shoulder just yesterday and last night I was hitting 15-16. Had to take a shot from a pen because my TSLIM CIQ pump with dexcom couldn't deal with it.
I'm using lyumjev and find it causes bleeds under the...
Like many of you, who use G6 paired to a funded Tslim CIQ pump, you'll have been told that certain 'well controlled' users have to fund the sensors themselves....the simple fact is well controlled is largely because of the pump and sensor, and resulting in lower NHS costs through less...
This is standalone only. G7 doesn't work yet with some pumps and unless you have really poor control you'd be expected to fund it. I believe dexcom one is funded. The situation is ridiculous. They put you on a tandem pump then say to make it work the patient has to pay for the sensor!
Dexcom one is on prescription. G6 is only for certain issues like lack of awareness of hypo. Ccg funding hasn't trickled through to all NHS areas so sit tight.
Things like 'I live alone' might be helpful in getting g6 .
Whenever I drive my BG's increase like I'm sure others do. previous pump was medtronic and was easy to increase background by say 30%.
TSLIM not so easy. Its a bit of a faff and on short trips find sleep mode helps but if BGs increase too much it doesn't do corrections so need to keep an eye...
Hi All,
So Dexcom is now available on prescription in the UK right? So why am I still being charged and my useless CCG is following old guidelines (ie not available)? Is it worth going through my GP for funding? Has anyone had any success to get switched to funded Dexcom sensors?
£159 a month...
