    Hypos are changing

I will do, I haven’t had any blood tests for the glucose issue at all so I’m only going off finger pricks. I’ll speak to the gp in January and for the minute just try and accept this is the situation and I can’t change it.

    Hypos are changing

Nobody will listen I will speak to the GP about it as I’m currently being checked for issues with the pituitary gland so that can cause a drop and symptoms. Am I just meant to leave it then as I tried that and it just went in the opposite direction? I’m in a bit of a tricky situation as...

    Hypos are changing

I seem to post a lot on here at the moment so I apologise! So yesterday I had a “hypo” that started at 3.8 I was slightly symptomatic but didn’t treat as my body normally corrects but on this occasion it didn’t and dropped to 3.5 at this point I was sweaty shivery felt really sick [emoji855]...

    Dexcom or libre

Thankyou for this I really appreciate it and yeah I think the phone will be the thing that collects the data and sends it to my watch. I’m really hoping it comes soon, can’t believe I’m so excited about a medical device [emoji23]

    Dexcom or libre

It’s a hard choice but I have set up nightscout and a few apps so I can turn it into a CGM like dexcom similar to what you’re describing and view it on my Apple Watch. I like your review thanks. Another issue is cost dex is so expensive if you’re self funding- me I just hope the libre works...

    Dexcom or libre

So I’m waiting on the free libre trial but wondering if it’s worth paying £160 for the dexcom trial for a month? I will probably have to self fund so I’m aware financially the libre is better but I’m interested to hear your opinions. Thanks

12 hr fasting test hypo advice

Thankyou yeah overnight should be ok it’s just the thought of it, I’ve just had a flapjack so hopefully that will keep things good it’s just the morning part really and not being able to treat it before 8:30. The bloods aren’t glucose they’re electrolytes and stuff like that.

12 hr fasting test hypo advice

I’m being tested for diabetes insipidus - not related to diabetes Miletus I am having to fast for 12hrs tonight so no food or drink and I’m worried about the possibility of non diabetic hypos as I do get them randomly or when fasting and I obviously can’t treat them during the fasting period...

Freestyle libre 2 pros and cons

Thanks for this, my family aren’t really the sympathetic type I think rather than it being an issue with me it’s more of a lack of understanding. My situation is slightly unique in that obviously I’m not diabetic so I think that in itself makes people more confused as to why I’m having hypos...

Freestyle libre 2 pros and cons

I have been approved for the free trial and ordered it, there definitely seems to be mixed reviews about it to be honest which isn’t really filling me with confidence haha. I’m hoping that I’ll be one of the lucky ones to be honest [emoji1303]

Freestyle libre 2 pros and cons

That’s so good I’ll definitely do this when I get it then especially as I still get the 14 days! Hopefully it proves beneficial to me like it is for most people [emoji4]

Freestyle libre 2 pros and cons

Thankyou this is good to know, I don’t mind backing up with the occasional test. In my case it will probably be handy to see the trends and overnight activity as I often wake up groggy and wonder if I’ve gone low in the night. I’ve seen some people put it on but not activate it for 24 hours...

Freestyle libre 2 pros and cons

Hey guys I’m 20 years old and suffering from non diabetic hypos, after doing some research and stuff last night I found out I can get a 14 day free trial of the libre 2 thanks to Abbot and I was just wondering before I try it are there any pros and cons I should know about? I’m also worried...

    Non diabetic hypos

I know I’m super confused as I now don’t know if it’s worth testing and treating if they’re not real hypos. Hopefully as time goes on we can sort the original issue out and hopefully with that the hypos go.
