My dad was diagnosed type 2 at 58 and lived to be 85. And he didn't die of diabetes complications, either.

Thanks, there was such a resounding silence when I posted this I felt sure I must be a weirdo :D I tend to do the opposite to you, and eat way too much when my blood sugar gets low. Yesterday I managed to get from 3.3 to 11.2 in a very short space of time. :roll:
