Hello everyone!
I am going to be travelling to Europe (I am in Canada) and I am concerned about the language barrier and trying to get through airport securities with my omnipod. In Canada, Omnipod is not very well known so explaining that it is an insulin pump etc. can be a bit of an ordeal...
Are you also on a long acting insulin? I had highs before bed when I was on a single dose of levemir (long acting) because it wasnt lasting the full day. It cleared up when I switched to two doses 12/hrs apart
Hey!
I just recently started on an Omnipod about 2 weeks ago and I am still figuring this out too. Everyday seems very different so I am just trying to be patient and figure out trends the best I can. I am 29 and was diagnosed 9 years ago.... I definitely understand how hard it is to adjust...

What other pods are out there now? I am looking to get a pump and have been considering a pod, but as far as I know Canada only has omnipod .... Maybe new pods will be coming my
way soon?

Hello!
Sorry to hear that you are experiencing so much pain!
As far as I know and have read, you have many many years before neuropathy should be an issue. Type 1 typically does not go undiagnosed for long enough to have complications so early. Type 2 can typically go long periods of time...
