    Insulin neuritis

Same boat. I’ve gone 3-4 days without issue and then out of the blue, a flare up.

    Insulin neuritis

Hey there, wanted to check in to see how you’re doing with this. I’m about 11 months in and still battling the stinging toes. Mainly 1-2 toes on each foot. Happens between 5-6 pm and lasts for a couple hours. Did this ever clear for you?

    Type 2 Morning BS spikes

Hi, when you say last to go, does it truly…..go? I’ve heard it takes a while. I’m eating 15-25g of carbs per day with 500mg of Metformin daily and am ranging at 95-107 in the mornings. A1c is at 5.2 but I’m trying to get morning check lower to like 90ish.

    Neuropathy advice

I have experienced the pain in feet after my sharp decline of A1c over 6-8 weeks. Neurologist diagnosed me with Treatment Induced Neuropathy. Not widely known, but it is a thing. Also known as TIND and Insulin Neuritis.

    Diet Dilemmas.

Here in the US, the Standard American Diet (SAD)… needs an overhaul.

    Diet Dilemmas.

Whole heartedly agree. Lowering the complication symptoms and risk was a key decision factor for me.

    Poor feet

Stop eating processed foods and food high in sugar and carbs. Sugar molecules attaches to blood which bonds to nerves. I believe the term is “glycation”. Nerves don’t like that. As nerves are attacked, communication between nerves and muscles etc…is broken and/or misfires signals. This is...

    Finding Carbohydrates ?

I always look for net carbs. I keep my carb intake at less than 30-35 per day.

    Poor feet

Oh…and for the love of all that is holy….no ice cream.

    Poor feet

Yes, Dr. Ken Berry and Dr. Richard Bernstein. They explain how both small fiber and large fiber neuropathy can be reversed. Great stuff from a scientist point of view. And very logical.

    Poor feet

Agree. I’ve kept my A1c at 5.4-5.5 with a diet of…fish, chicken, turkey, steak, burgers, coffee (no sugar) salads (oil and vinegar) eggs, bacon, Chobani triple zero yogurt and Almond Malk. Notice I said Malk and not milk. There is a wrap bread called Joseph’s that has 2 net carbs. That’s what I...

    Poor feet

Let me add, the old damaged nerves are not going to be repaired, however, new nerves resprout and will replace the old nerve.

    Poor feet

I highly suggest to watch Dr. Berry and Dr. Bernstein’s videos on neuropathy. The general thought is once we stop what’s attacking the nerve, new nerves will resprout. Thought is about 1mm per day. Plenty of stories here of people who have reduced their pain and numbness. Notice, the numbness...

    Constant pain

How many months has it been? I highly suggest to watch Dr. Bernstein’s video on neuropathy. Now keep in mind, it’s not about TIND, which is different, but it’s more about taking pain meds with regular PN, which is also reversible. I understand fully what it’s like to NOT take pain meds and deal...

    1 year of T2

I figured I would provide an update. Diagnosed with T2 in August of 2022. Went full force to reduce my A1c of 12.5 and weight of 228lbs. Diet, exercise and 500mg of Metformin. Quit sugar, ice cream, alcohol, bread, pasta and snacks cold turkey. LCHF diet only. Eggs, chicken, beef, turkey, fish...
