Hi,
I have had diabetes for around 13 years now and I have to say I have never had a friendship with another diabetic.
I think it would be nice to be able to go to someone who isn't my diabetic nurse or doctor and talk to them about all the things I want to about diabetes and for them to...
I'm with the same company as you are.
Last year I had a disciplinary meeting due to being ill as my medication had just changed and had made me rather ill.
I was even being sick at work and they still wanted me to stay in and carry on working, even though I was working with food at that time...
Thanks you Lee for sharing that.
So happy for you and what you have achieved :D
My main goals are to come off most of my medication which I can.
I have already halved my insulin which has made me feel a bit better in myself :D
Did the diet help with your HbA1c?
I use a mouthwash called 'peroxyl' which my hygienist recommended me. I find it a god sent. My gums have stopped bleeding and being painful to eat on. As well as where my gums had started to recede they are coming back to normal.
Happy mouth = happy me

I have been having a lot of problems with my knees ever since I was a child.
My knees used to buckle underneath me and I would crumple onto the floor for no reason what so ever.
The past few months I have been waking up with pains in my left knee where it has been throbbing and feeling like...
I have recently been diagnosed with a skin condition called urtichia (can't spell it) my whole body literally comes up in a blotchy rash and I kind of look like mister blobby with all the pink blotches.
It can be caused by stress, diet medication.

To be honest....I don't think I would get rid of it.
I know for a fact if I wasn't diagnosed with diabetes... I would have been the really obease child.
As much as I hate having diabetes I think it has helped me grow as a person

Now as I have got older I feel comfortable telling people I have diabetes. As I work in a food retail store and I'm on tje tills the topic comes up a lot surprisingly enough.... I know I made a least a handful of people more aware of diabetes.
When I was a child and teenager I know I never...
When I was a child I had it drummed into my head that you always had to have something on your feet...which now has made me hate wearing shoes or socks or slipper don't like things on my feet.
So I am practically always barefooted.
I find as long as you just check your feet at least once or...
Hi,
I am on a mission to finally shift some pounds.
Iv used slimming world before. Now I am trying a new one called 'spark people'.
Just want to know what other people have used, and how it helped them. Did it effect your sugars. And did you reach your goal weight ....

With all these new rules and regulations about driving I know it makes me feel like I don't want to learn how to drive any more.
When I was younger all I wanted to do was learn how to drive so I could become more independent.
Now being put off with it all I have to relay on my parents to take...
I have been taking the same medicine for years now... However in the past week I have been coming up with an itchy red rash all over my body. I have spoken to the doctor and they think its a drug induced rash.
Why would I now come up in this rash after taking the same pills for years?
Just want...
