Weird that I still have had no contact with any Diabetes team at my local GP practice since my pre-diabetes diagnosis nor my type 2 Diabetes Diagnosis
I'm hoping this gets bumped up so I don't lose this again
Mine was 18mmol yesterday morning and 14mmol this morning
I haven't had fasting readings that high for years so I am guessing this is due to some infection or other.
My meter has died so no blood test result to add today as I have had to buy another meter :(
I only recently bought several boxes of strips so didn't by the cheapo meter recommended as I didn't want to dump the sticks
I first came across intermittent fasting on the Diet Doctor site and I first saw Dr Jason Fung there too. I have several of his books on my Audible account and listen to them while having a lie down in the afternoon.
I add the teeniest bit of pink Himalayan salt to my coffee when fasting and now prefer black coffee like that.
There is lots of info for beginners here

I've fasted this way many times now but usually 48 hours or so maximum. It was difficult at first but after a few times it got better. I am going to get back to it once I am feeling a bit more myself as I have a bunch of health issues and am wanting to lose some weight and get a bit more mobile...
If you think that's hard then you might want to talk to people who only drink water or black tea/coffee while fasting lol The ones who do this tend to limit the fasting to 3 days as according to the science behind intermittent fasting the health benefits max out after 3 days
My fasting blood sugar this morning was 9.1.
I am vers early on from my type 2 diagnosis and am currently working on reversing this and have a goal for the next few weeks of getting the fasting figure consistently below 10 mmol
