I've just trialled the dexcom g5 for a week and decided against using it.
I'm not sure if the transmitter is transferable but seems like a waste to throw it out as they are so expensive. so if anyone can find a use for it I'm happy to post out to someone. Please send me a direct message if...
Hi
Has anyone ordered freestyle libre sensors from a pharmacy?
My latest order from Abbot has been on hold for a week due to low stocks so I called them up and they advised I could be waiting another 2 weeks but it might be quicker to try at Boots.
I've called boots this morning and they've...
I've just removed the faulty sensor and there is a bit of blood on the insertion part. And it feels a bit sore. Probably why it died

Thanks for the advice. I've decided I can't be bothered with getting the replacement this time round. I won't have time to call tomorrow and I'd like to have the new sensor on. I got a week out of it so could have been worse

Hi all, might sound like a stupid question but I'm down to my last sensor after two fails so don't want to screw the last one up.
My current sensor has become slightly detached (1 week in) and now reads LO permanently. But it's still active. How do I kill it so I can start my new sensor.
I've...
Yep I did do the phone scan within the 30 mins. Made sure of that because I missed that detail first time I tried to use the app

Thanks for the responses. I can confirm that I've been using ibuprofen gel and pills and there's been no noticible effect on the reader

Has libre link killed my sensor?
I've just had a very similar experience to the above. I started the sensor off with my reader. Then scanned the sensor with the app on my phone straight after. After the 60 mins was up I had a go at using my phone as my reader was upstairs. It failed to readand...
Thanks, but it's not the effect on blood glucose I was querying. It's the effect on cgm readings.
My question is really, does anyone use ibuprofen gels or tablets whilst using the freestyle libre and have they noticed any inconsistency?

Hi all,
I remember reading somewhere that painkillers can disrupt cgm readings. Thus far I've avoided taking any whilst using the freestyle libre but I've been advised to use ibuprofen gel to help my knee recover from an injury.
Has anyone got any experience in this?
I ended up ordering this and I've been using it for a couple of days now.
I have to say on the whole I think it's a top product. Really well designed. I haven't decided if I will continue to use it. I love how easy it is to carry around, but it's a bit fiddly and therefore a bit less discreet...
