High carb content in diabetic recipes?

Hi, Really? I didnt realise this. I've been concentrating my research on my type 2 so much I neglected to think of type 1 sufferers. The book is advertised on it's cover as having all low sugar recipes though, but if 33g sugar for a type 1 sufferer to have for breakfast is an acceptable amount...

High carb content in diabetic recipes?

Hi, For Christmas I was given The complete Book of Diabetic Cooking as a gift. Today I've had my first look and am shocked at some of the very high carb content in the recipes. I'm type 2 and aim for a total carb intake of around 80g per day, yet some of the recipes claiming to help diabetes...

    Had My Review Today

Great progress, congratulations I myself have gone from an initial Type 2 diagnosis of HBA1C 59 a year ago and this week I'm down to HBA1C 40. This is to a huge degree down to the advice and encouragement I have received from people on this forum, which I am extremely grateful for :)

Well, I have spoken to my Doctor and she said I was suggested for the trial because I am struggling with keeping my BS levels under control with diet and exercise. That isn't strictly true as whilst my levels are admittedly high (averaging 8.5 during the week) I feel I'm nowhere near having to...

What music are you listening to?

Having a mellow moment at the moment and listening to Life goes on by The Sundays. My girlfriend at the time used to cry every time she heard this so it brings back memories for me Harriet Wheeler was an amazing beauty - and she could actually sing!
