is there any reason why my blood sugar would be lower a couple of hours after eating as opposed to than the mornings/ fasting. Should I be worried or is this a good thing? I just can't seem to get my fasting levels lower after 3.5 months trying
i love pizza too much and I crave it so bad some days. If I do order would it be better for my blood sugar if I split the pizza between 3 days than eat it all at once? Sorry if it seems like a stupid question but I'd like to not have to give it up. And at least this could be an alternative
im just curious about how other prediabetics are doing on a low carb diet. I've only checked my blood since being diagnosed on a blood glucose meter. It's still roughly the same if not higher despite losing 2 stone. This is really frustrating but I will soldier on. I will have to go for a review...
firstly sorry for making tons of threads I just been obsessing since I been diagnosed as prediabetic and really trying to get things right. Anyway I had an Indian takeaway with tandoori and paneer last night and checked my blood sugars before and after. Before it was 5.3 and 1 hour after it was...
My GTT was 8.8 is that not considered bad then? It's in the prediabetes range isn't it, also my blood sugar fasting level hasn't seem to have gone down since I started this diet. Should it have by now? It's been 3 months. Or as you say are fasting sugar levels meaningless?
So I haven't been tested in a few months so I can only hope my blood sugar has improved. But I'm just wondering where on the scale my old results would put me. My hba1c is 32 which from what I've read is good. But my fasting blood sugar was 5.6 which isn't so good. I was diagnosed with...
So someone here has advised I up my carb intake a bit to avoid cheat days that I've often succumb to. How many carbs should I aim for? I have been going 20g a day with the cheat days I've mentioned. If I aim for 50g a day what kind of food should I be eating? I presume a couple of slices of...
I've been low carbing for 3 months now and I won't lie I have cheated about every week or 2. I lost about 2 stone but that's stopped now. I'm more concerned about my blood sugar which is still usually 5.6-5.9 upon waking. When I eat it goes up to about 6.5 after an hour an half. I just don't...
It would seem my blood sugar has actually gone up since I got diagnosed with prediabetes. When I first got tested on a fasting it was 5.6 I believe and now I'm average 6 in the mornings. Could there be any reason why this is happening?
So I've been low carbing for 3 months now. They stupidly didn't include my blood sugars on my blood test but i got my cholesterol levels at least. If anyone could help me understand them I would be more than grateful.

I'm just wondering what the ranges are meant to be. Mine was 6.1 fasting this morning. Im certain it's gone up since last time I checked. Does it go up and down sometimes? I did have a kebab last night could that be why?
