Thanks for that czj, I'm always telling him to be careful lifting etc, i'll tell him your explanation of things and all we can do is try it and see if it works. His bleeds aren't that bad your right they tend to be small and not interfer with his vision really.

my boyfriend is T1 and we eat both and neither spike him, he doesn't have many new potato's and injects one unit per egg sized potato and that works fine. We stay well clear of mash as his blood sugar goes mental afterwards and the following day!
