Type 1 Why do I go hypo after my insulin

I also use fiasp which is the same as novo rapid with the addition of vitamin B3 I believe, which speeds up how quickly it works. I don’t have a regular diet and eat a whole variety of different foods so sometimes hard to understand what each food will do unfortunately but thanks for the tips...

Type 1 Why do I go hypo after my insulin

I’ve been keeping my blood sugars under pretty great control recently but over the last few days I’ve been having issues with my bolus insulin and going hypo. Last night I ate dinner, a big bowl of pasta, and my bloods were 6.5mmol. I have myself 3 units of my bolus insulin, which is a lot...

    Changing time zones

I am flying to the Philippines which is 8hrs ahead of the U.K. At the moment I do 13 units of my basal insulin at 7am and 15 units at 10pm. Not quite sure how to alter doses for the new time zone.... Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Ned

    Insulin ratios

I do split yes. I do 13 units in the morning at 7am and 13 in the evening at about 10pm. Could that be too long a gap between injections?

    Insulin ratios

Not particularly, i eat a pretty balanced diet. last night I had a potato and coconut curry that had roughly 60g of carbs. I found that if I do anymore novo rapid I end up going hypo which then again results in me having nighttime spikes. N

    Insulin ratios

Can insulin ratios be different at different times during the day? My blood sugars are rising every day at about mid night and I can't figure out why. It can't be my levemir as I do this maybe an hour and a half before the rise starts to happen. I tested my BG last night before I went to...

    Hypo at 4pm every day

I am going slightly hypo every day at 4pm. Would this be due to my lunch short acting insulin or morning long acting? Thanks
