Hi, i have been diabetic for 24 years and have been up and down with control. I had a pump fitted 18 months ago and have seen a massive inprovement in readings.
This last week i have been getting all the symptoms of high sugar but my levels are normal? Any one else experienced this ?
Thanks
Nick
The diabetic nurse told me when I did the dafne course that I could eat 10g of carbs between meals with no bolus. This was because 10g could move bloods up between 2-3 mmols which would be ok. This seems to work for me but as said before everyone is different and is just trial and error.

I am using the accucheck insight, it was the only one the trust offered but to be honest after researching it was the one I wanted anyway so that was lucky. I will get on amazon and have a look for that book to be honest it feels like being diagnosed all over again. :)
Hi, thanks for the replys everyone, I have spoken to the diabetic nurse who says that she thinks that my body wasn't absorbing the pen injections which would make sense as I seemed to be on huge amounts compared to other people I know. I have dropped right down to about 50% of my normal basel...
