I don’t go to my drs for any diabetic input, I go to the hospital clinic and see consultant’s that know what they are talking about. The gp does try to get me to go for blood tests etc but I refuse to go.

I’m on this and had no side effects from it.

I’ve been on it a few years and had no problems with it.

Hi, My mum is on this insulin twice a day but quite often doesn’t want to eat an evening meal so I’m not sure if she should inject her evening dose. I’m thinking no but then she won’t have the long acting part of the insulin. Any advice?

My mum is a type 2, been diagnosed since maybe the 80’s. She’s on Humilin m3 and she had not injected herself for a couple of days. I of the days she had no food or any other medication. She has been finding it difficult to inject as she has been losing the feeling in her fingers.

Hi, My mum has been hospitalised with DKA yesterday can anybody that has had this tell me how long they were in hospital for this. I really don’t want to go on the time I had it as it was quite long around a month. Thanks

I drove for almost a year under section 88 after my Gp made a mistake on my form that deemed me unfit to drive. By the time this was sorted out I had to re-apply for my driving licence. I had no problem driving under section 88 I was never stopped.

I’m on lantus twice a day, I don’t take any insulin with meals. When I was taking insulin with meals I put on a lot of weight and I was also continually hungry. My DSN at the time said you will feel much better, I didn’t feel any different but then I didn’t feel unwell to start with!

I don’t restrict what I eat I just eat hat I want when I want it. If I restricted my food there wouldn’t be much I like.
