Hi there.
I live overseas and was diagnosed whilst living here therefore I have never been on a course and whilst I am on metformin and try to be careful I would love to find an easy to understand resource of information.
Any ideas?

This was very specific about totally avoiding those three things.
Sugar no problem, potato no sweat but no cereals is a real challenge
Have seen interesting video on this and the theory of how this can stabilise bs levels.
Anyone tried it and are there any sites/ books that are recommended?
With Slimming World there are a number of different options and nobody makes you eat snacks if you do not want to!
You can choose to be high carb or low by deciding what to eat from within the plans.
My blood sugar is always higher in the morning before I eat. This is what I found on-line but I do not use insulin and take my metformin mid day.
Dawn phenomenon
The dawn phenomenon is the end result of a combination of natural body changes that occur during the sleep cycle and can be explained...
Amazed to hear about lchf - nothing like the advice I keep on hearing about consuming carbs.
Can I ask how often people usually test. I have not been advised and so have been testing once a day.
Thank you, I do not think I provided enough info. I am type two (borderline) and take one metformin tablet a day which is usually around 12 noon before I eat.
I do not inject insulin.
My diet is usually pretty low in carbs and has been for years.
I am overweight (currently working on that one)
