To be fair, I’ve been drinking Corona lager….. and the occasional Peroni. Or Gin & Slimline tonic And the sausages have been from Aldi or Asda so nothing special
I’m currently in shock….. I was diagnosed about 5 years ago, and was up and down to start off with. Then good for a while, lost weight, with great readings. Then mentally and physically Ill for a while, pilled weight back on and rubbish readings.
Had my bloods taken last week and appointment...
Still taking the Metformin and it's been tough, very tough at times. And apart from a 2 month blip of self indulgence and comfort eating (take aways) after a knee injury I'm back on track and cooking properly again.
Had my appointment with diabetes nurse. Very surprised to find that my HbA1c...
I was diagnosed in April and everything has been fine, well under current control. I have had a couple of infections that the doctor said were worse due to being diabetic.
There had been cough and cold going around the office and though I was doing well to avoid it. Then on Tuesday I felt...
I've had a cup of tea and a biscuit and feel slightly better. (I don't eat biscuits regularly these days). Still feeling rough though, so I'm giving training a miss tonight, it wouldn't do me any good putting the goalkeeping kit on in this weather! Maybe next week :-)
I've spent all day looking forward to hockey training tonight. Just got home from work and stared to feel sick and a bit dizzy. Had a shower and felt worse, felt sick and sleepy. I've checked my bloods and it's 4.1 and it's never been that low. Is this normal with the hot weather and diabetes...
Just wondering....... I've been really thirsty over the past few days and have been having to drink a lot of water and feeling really tired . Is this just down to the heat or my diabetes or both?? Is it normal or just me
I'm glad you are getting better. Thank you for your kind wishes, genuinely feel better than I have for years. Not 100% but I've improved massively in he last 2 weeks
I've got to go back and see the diabetic nurse in 3 months. And now I'm feeling better and have a some energy again I'm going to start exercising again and hopefully get some weight off again.
Fingers crossed
No alcohol, or fizzy pop for 8 weeks and I honestly can't remember the last time I...
Hi! I've cut right down on carbs, switched to wholwheat bread & pasta and brown rice but a lot less than before. And I'm trying to limit my calories probably having less than half the calories I was having prediagnosis.
No alcohol, fizzy pop or cordial for 8 weeks and I've stopped eating take...
Something very strange is going on..... having had all the tests and diagnosed as type 2 and I've been on metformin since the 10th of April.
I've felt a lot better since taking the metformin and almost feel like myself again.
But as well as the recent diabetes I've had other issues. High...
Trishbethel, I'm exactly the same. Once I've had my lunch I am absolutely ravenous and it's like I can't stop eating. I've always had an appetite but this goes beyond being greedy. I'm so glad it's not just me
Natalie1974 I hope you are feeling better soon and I know being positive can be extremely difficult. It's understandable that you feel low and tired having put other people's issues first, and you've put yourself to the back of the queue.
Its time to pamper yourself and put yourself first and...
